Chapter 33

Avery had purposely sent the driver away so he doesn't tell James all her movements. If not , James will use it against her and insult her without a care. She thought as she patiently stood on the highway patiently waiting for a cab. James was driving like a bullet after finding out Avery wasn't home. He knew he had said some hurtful words to her.

He had purposely said those hurtful words to her in other for him not to let his heart get too attached to her. But the mere word he had received from Adam that she wasn't home had ignite a spark in his heart as he didn't know what to do. As he was driving, he saw a silhouette of a lady standing by the roadside.

He slowly drive his car so he could see her face. He parked his car and got down as his eyes never left the silhouette of that woman. It was only her back that was facing him. He kept walking faster and faster in other to see her until he was finally close to her. The lady whose back was facing him slowly turned to see who was behind her but froze the moment their eyes met.

It was James. James was also shocked to see that it was Avery. But his expression was back to his unreadable expression.

There was a strong power Of silence between them that a pin drop could be heard. Avery didn't say a word and began to slowly retreat but James was too fast like a bullet and grab her by her waist in a firm grip. Her body hitting his hard muscular chest . She gasped hard heart beating faster.

James! What are you -----

She was cut off with James covering her mouth from talking any further. He had wanted to kiss her to shut her up but he changed his mind in the last minute. He let go of her mouth.

What are you doing here all out alone?He asked with a probing gaze. Avery didn't say anything and that was when James realize he was holding her in an intimate way. His arms were still wrapped around her waist . He slowly let go of her and stepped back a little from her.

The sky was turning dark showing a sign of night time but the two people were still lost in fantasy.

After a long while of silence, Avery finally opened her mouth to talk. Why do you care ? She asked back without answering his own question. But what she got back was a chilling silence that made her felt nervous. He dragged her hands and took her to the car.

Let go of me James. She yelled angrily. But James was deaf to her words. Avery tried to open the door but it was lock. Before she knew it, James had sprayed a spray can for her to fall unconscious. He couldn't withstand her shouts.

She inhaled the strong substance and dozed off.

How stubborn are you to talk back at me?? He murmured coldly as he started the engine and drove off in max bullet speed. After a long while of driving, he finally stopped in front of his estate and slowly drove on the smooth road covered in tall trees and branches till he finally stopped the car in front of a huge white gate that yawned opened and the car drove towards the waterfall. He turned off the engine of his car and stared at the unconscious girl before him.

She look so innocent when she is unconscious. She looked like a sleeping beauty. But once she is awake, she causes problems for him. As he was staring at her, his hand have involuntarily moved on it's own and grabbed some strands of her black wavy hair as he inhaled it. She smelt so unique and different. Her scent smells familiar. But he let go of her almost immediately.

Avery eyes slowly flickered open and her eyes clear like a pure sky came into view. She felt a bit lightheaded but managed to seat and she looked around only for her to realize she was seated in a car. But whose car?

Her mind got clearer and she remembered everything before she passed out. James had forcefully dragged her into the car and locked it. While she was trying to escape,he had sprayed a substance from a can on her for her to fall unconscious. And here she was ,still in his car.

She slowly looked at him and anger blazed in her eyes but James was unfazed.

"How dare you do that to me"? She asked angrily but James ignored her. .

You left home without informing anybody. Cause I told you to obey the five rules doesn't give you the right to leave the house anyhow. Are you trying to escape? He said with an ice tone that sent shivers down her spine.

"How could you be this wicked and heartless"? Avery said tears blurring her vision. First, you lied to me that I was going to do something in other for you to pay my father's bill but ---- she paused as she hiccup a little.

I never told you that I will pay your father's bill. I only said you will do something and that's to follow the five RULES. "Don't get too attached to my family or anyone related to me, don't ask me for anything except related to the contract marriage or rules, don't near the middle floor, don't touch my stuffs and don't fall in love with me.". He said with a ice but dangerous tone.

Is that too hard for you to do? He asked coldly and heartlessly.

Avery trembled but she managed to stay calm in situations like this. Cause, she knew once she says something, he will use it against her and brutally hurt her with knife pierced words.

She swallowed hard. James. She managed to say even though her voice broke. Her throat constricted. Fine then, I will obey all your rules. I won't dare to ask you for anything. She said calmly before opening the car door and ran inside. James stared at her till she went inside. He remained seated in the car.
