Chapter 5-When will you get Married?

"Iris,how did it go". Madam selane asked immediately she got out of the room.

"Where you eavesdropping". She asked.

"That's not the problem just tell me how it went". She asked eagerly waiting for her to spill the beans.

"He asked me to sing at the palace for the Crown Prince's coronation ceremony, the day after tomorrow". She said non chalantly, heading for the stairs.

"Wait". Madam selane stopped her.

"Don't you know how lucky you are to visit the palace".

"Madam Selane, why do you always think so extravagantly". She questioned.

"Just forget about that, so did you accept the invitation". She asked impatiently.

"Yes". Iris replied, fed up of her act.

"That's my girl".

IN THE PALACE-

"Prince Wyatt you're back". Wyatt's bodyguard ran to get his coat from him.

"Does father know I was out all morning". He asked handing him the coat.

"Father knows about it because I told him". A deep voice from behind replied.

"Not again". Wyatt murmured.

"Where are you coming from". The voice asked.

"Brother, I had something important to take care of". Wyatt replied.

"Oh really! Anyways father called for you but you weren't home so how are you going to handle this situation". Ryan questioned as he gave a smirk.

"He's in the hall right". Wyatt asked.

"I'll go and meet him". Wyatt stated and immediately he ran in the direction of the hall.

IN THE HALL-

"Father". Wyatt called on entering the hall.

"Where have you been all day". The king questioned as he stared at him with cold icy eyes. "Is this how you're preparing for the coronation". He inquired angrily.

"Father I'm sorry". He apologized, bowing down his head in guilt.

"My son, I want you to be responsible so you'll be able to assist your brother in the matters of the land". He said on a calm tone has he patted Wyatt's shoulder.

"Yes father, I promise to be responsible from now on".

MADAM SELANE'S HOUSE-

Iris was busy resting on her bedroom when Madam Selane barged in, carrying lots of shopping bags in her hands.

"Madam Selane, what's all this-. Iris asked, getting to her feet.

"Nothing much just clothes and new shoes". She replied waving her hand in the air.

"These clothes and shoes, who owns them". Iris asked suspiciously eyeing Madam Selane.

"They're yours, I bought them at the shops today". She replied, placing each gown on the table as Iris stood there helpless m

"These things are too expensive, you need not buy them". She argued.

"Iris dear, you're like a daughter to me, so the least I could do was to buy you some stuff". She replied all emotional.

"Thanks but I can't accept that, they're expensive". She explained calmly.

"I'm sure you spent a lot of money to buy them, so do one thing just return them or well them". Iris said.

"No they're yours. I bought them for your performance at the palace the day after tomorrow". Madam Selane boasted, sizing the gowns on Iris' body.

"You know what dear, I've already told all my friends that I'm going to the palace". She squealed, smiling happily.

"Please don't let me down".

RYAN'S ROOM-

KNOCK!!! KNOCK!!!

"Come in". Ryan's voice commanded as Wyatt entered the room shutting the door slowly.

"Still busy". Wyatt asked as Ryan gave a slight nod.

"Hold on, just give me a minute". Ryan said, immediately he closed the project he was working on and looked up to face his brother.

"So brother, how's the preparations going". Wyatt asked.

"Seem's okay to me". Ryan replied.

"You're sure, what about your marriage".

"What do you mean?". Ryan asked confused.

"When will you get married". Wyatt asked staring into his brother's eyes.
