Contract Marriage with A Mafia Don: Their Secrets

Jacqueline Kelly found herself compelled to sign a marriage contract in order to cover her father's mounting hospital expenses. However, this was no ordinary contract. Not only was the intended groom a notorious and domineering mafia don named Benjamin Turner, but Jacqueline also had to impersonate her twin sister, Jasmine Martin, who was rumored to be the sole object of his affection. If Benjamin uncovered her true identity, the gates of death would open for her. Jacqueline's grip on her skirt tightened as her hand trembled. Her gaze shifted from the marriage contract before her, to the polite smile of Madam Claire Turner, and then to Benjamin, who sat beside her. "Why the hesitation?" he murmured in her ear, then he poised his expensive fountain pen near the contract. Panicking, Jacqueline frantically picked up the pen, hoping he wouldn't find out she wasn't his Jasmine through her clumsiness. Will Jacqueline ultimately sign the contract, even with the dangerous mafia don as her prospective husband by her side? Will her true identity be unveiled by the man she's supposed to marry? And can she successfully fulfill the mission entrusted to her by Madam Claire Turner?

Their Dinner - Part 3

But Benjamin's hand left her hair soon after, and Jacqueline tried not to make a sound as she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's go have dinner! It would be terrible if you passed out here from hunger," Benjamin reminded her with a smile.

"Of course, it would be hazardous, no one knows what you might do when it happens," Jacqueline whispered. Then she felt Benjamin's hand gently rub the top of her head.

"I'm curious about what you just said, you mischievous girl," Benjamin raised an eyebrow, his tone as if an adult had figured out their child's prank.

Jane pursed her lips, taking a few seconds to think. Then she looked up, using her innocent gaze to respond to Benjamin before speaking, "'I didn't know you were back', right?"

A low chuckle emanated from Benjamin's throat, his index finger quickly touching her nose, "You know what I'm talking about, you little elf."

He walked into the dining room as Helena stepped out and announced that their late dinner was ready.

Entering the dining room, Jane noticed her chair had been pulled out. She glanced at Benjamin, who was waiting for her.

"Have I told you how happy I am when you're ready to wait for our dinner?" Benjamin said, his eyes still gentle on Jane. "I tried my best to come back early, to be with you, Jane."

Listening to Benjamin's sweet words, the hand on her thigh tightened and quickly relaxed.

"Not yet, but... I also hope we will have more opportunities to dine together," Jacqueline replied, guessing that Jasmine would say so, considering their romantic relationship.

After that, she didn't hear Benjamin's response. Curiously, her eyes moved from the plate on the table to Benjamin's face, and immediately returned when she realized Benjamin was still watching her.

Jacqueline's adorable reaction made Benjamin laugh.

"What makes you shy when looking at your man, Jane?" Benjamin still gazed at her. When he noticed her cheeks turning red from his words, Benjamin wanted to be close to Jacqueline, touching her cheek and lips with his hand. "Tell me."

"Oh, am I?" Jacqueline replied, her cheeks not warming at the thought of Benjamin saying he was her man. His words repeated in her mind, making her unable to cool down even though she tried to distract herself from those stupid thoughts.

Jacqueline refused to talk to Benjamin during the meal by keeping silent and focusing on the taste of the food.

When dessert was brought out, Jacqueline's eyebrows slightly furrowed as she tasted the pink guava flavor in the cake. Jacqueline didn't have much fondness for the taste of pink guava, but strangely she could drink pink guava mojito.

"Lady, doesn't it suit your taste?" Helena spoke up, noticing Jacqueline's small reactions to the cake covered in pink guava syrup on the surface.

Benjamin immediately directed his attention to Jacqueline.

Jacqueline shook her head and continued with her dessert. Hard times had trained Jacqueline not to waste food.

Benjamin signaled to Helena to take the cake away, but Jacqueline spoke up, "It's not that bad."

"But it's not really your thing, right?" Benjamin replied. He was confident that he was fully capable of providing the best for his woman.

Helena, who was stuck in the middle, looked at her Master and then at the Lady.

Jacqueline immediately held onto her plate with both hands, "I'll finish it."

"You don't have to..."

"That's my will, I don't want to waste food," Jacqueline replied firmly before Benjamin finished his advice.

Benjamin laughed, gesturing for Helena to return to her position, "Seems like it'll be easy for me to take care of you."

"Oh, I...," Jacqueline wanted to refuse but thoughts of Jasmine and Benjamin's future wedding flashed through her mind. Perhaps she would continue to live with Benjamin for a long time, even as his legal spouse.

Jacqueline swallowed the piece of cake stuck in her mouth and said, "So what about you? I don't know how to take care of you."

Benjamin raised an eyebrow as he couldn't predict what she was about to say, "Me? You want to take care of me?"

Jacqueline nodded, "I think it's necessary."

"Only my wife can take care of me. Are you ready to be my wife?" Benjamin said before taking a sip of tea.

He frowned as the tea passed over his tongue. The tea was spoiled, probably because the tea maker didn't control the temperature of the water well. Out of habit, he wanted to set the teacup aside for Helena to take it away and bring him a new one. But just before the teacup connected to the table, Benjamin looked at Jacqueline, who was still trying to finish her portion even though the food didn't suit her taste.

A thought ran through Benjamin's mind, wondering if he would make a bad impression on her if he declined to use this spoiled teacup.

Helena came to Benjamin's side, ready to take away the bad tea as soon as he placed it down. But Benjamin placed it back on the saucer.

"I... probably so..." Her voice dwindled and nearly disappeared, she didn't even know what she was saying. She just wanted to draw closer the relationship between them, making it look like a romantic relationship. This made Benjamin less wary and she acted more freely, but it seemed like everything was slipping out of her control.

She put the fork down when the plate was empty. Helena instructed the servants to clean up.

Jacqueline stood up and followed Benjamin to the rooftop to take some fresh air.

This was Jacqueline's first time on the rooftop terrace of this place. The space was bleak, without any furniture.

As Jacqueline stepped onto the rooftop, a strong gust of wind blew her hair. Jacqueline tried to tidy her hair, but the wind didn't stop, and Jacqueline had to give up her efforts.

Benjamin leaned his hand on the railing, gazing at the mountain range behind the mansion.

Jacqueline wasn't sure why Benjamin came to the rooftop, she simply followed him. Coming next to him, Jacqueline saw behind the mansion was a large meadow, not far from the mansion was what seemed to be a stable.

"The weather tomorrow is quite nice, we can go horseback riding," Benjamin said.

"I... I..." didn't know how to ride a horse. Jacqueline's logic prevented her from saying the whole sentence. She didn't think a wealthy lady like Jasmine didn't know this pastime enjoy. "I think I'll spend time reading books tomorrow."

"But you can do it when I'm not here," Benjamin looked at Jacqueline, whose head was slightly bowed. "Tomorrow is my rare day off, I hope we can have a good experience together."

Benjamin's words made her hesitate.

As Jacqueline was puzzled about how to respond, a warm and broad hand grasped hers.

"I don't know what you're worried about, but I'm always here for you. I just want us to have many memories together," Benjamin gently comforted her, his eyes turned towards her, giving her the reassurance she rarely received.

Jacqueline immediately averted her gaze so it wouldn't have to meet his "devilish" eyes, "But is that okay for your legs?"
