[KIYOMI]

"This is all just a game to you, isn't it?" Kiki asked frustratedly.

"What if it is, Kiyomi Kimura?... Will you play along?" Sakura asked as she looked at the good doctor. She had wanted to make a run for it like she always did, but she had spilled her greatest fear already.

There wasn't a thing that Kiyomi Kimura would do to her that would scare her as much as letting Kiki know what she felt. Maybe it was because Saki had grown up in a family that was devoid of love and never knew what emotions were.

Her being brave like this was something that she would apt herself in the back for water because right now, she was a nervous wreck.

"I don't want to play along, Saki. I don't want to play a game at all," Kiyomi admitted and Saki stared at her in earnest. She knew what Kiyomi was feeling, which was strangely the first time she had associated someone's feelings with hers.

It was confusing as hell, but perhaps they would have to wait and see what the hell was in store for them right? Surely the universe wasn't always going to be cruel to them, right? There had to be a way out, even if they couldn't find it themselves.

"I know, Petal, I know," Sakura said as she walked over to Kiyomi. Her heart was beating fast with the possibility of a reflection, but even with the possible risks, Sakura wanted to explore.

She wanted to see what really happened if this went on.

Granted, she knew she wasn't cut out for the complexities that came with relationships, but surely the moon goddess had to have thought that through, right? Besides they weren't the first mates in the realm and they were certainly not the last, no?

"You're difficult, Saki," Kiyomi breathed as she met Saki halfway. The wild woman still had a bloody dress, and a messy bag, but even then, she still managed to look like the prettiest rebel in the room.

"I'm sorry," Sakura apologized and Kiyomi chuckled at the realization.

"You seem to say sorry a lot when you're with me, Saki," Kiyomi pointed out as she traced a hand down Sakura's cheek. She looked so simple… like a normal girl and it was reeling Kiyomi in so fast.

"Because I always manage to screw things up with you. Nothing ever really works for us, and I have to find a balance. I know you might hate me for it… who am I kidding, I would hate me for it too, hell I hate me for it already, but I don't mind.

"I don't mind apologizing a hundred times over if it means getting to be in the same room as you. I don't mind the struggle that comes with me conforming to your hate, as long as I get to see you and breathe you close.

"I don't know what else I can do and I don't want us to just be a pet and a master, because that hurts more than it should. The tears on your face, the rage I seem to trigger every time I'm close to you, you don't deserve that.

"And I'm sorry for doing shit that hurts you. It's just that I—" Sakura rambled only for her to be interrupted by a full-on kiss on the lips.

For a moment, Queen Sakura stiffened, not sure if this was just another figment of her brain or if it was just Kiyomi paying her back for the kiss that had happened earlier. Maybe it was a mix of both and it was fucking with her head a little too much.

"Let me in," Kiyomi whispered against Sakura's lips and that was all it took for Sakura to know that this wasn't just a dream. This was happening, and she didn't have to fight it anymore.

If this was the last kiss she had from Kiyomi, then she wouldn't mind, because she would savor it and remember it for the longest time. After all, she had never let anyone kiss her, ever.

Kiyomi was her first kiss and hopefully, not her last kiss. So, she let Kiki take the lead. She let the good doctor introduce her to a myriad of feelings that she hadn't yet explored or even learned for a long time.

She could feel Kiki's hands on her body, stripping her, while their lips danced to the silent music composed by their emotions. She didn't fight, even when Kiyomi guided the both of them to the bed that she had sworn was bloodied.

Sakura didn't mind.

She wanted to know this feeling and it wasn't just an experiment for them.

Hell, Kiki was more than just someone she could do whatever with. This woman was her bane and Skai knew that when she fell on the bed, on top of Kiyomi, her dress was gone, her body bare, and yet she didn't feel scared of anything.

"The sheets are…" Sakura began when they pulled back for a breath of air.

"Perfect, just like you," Kiyomi said as she peppered kisses on Saki's face, like the woman hadn't been covered in blood earlier.

"I—" Sakura struggled to let out as she thought back to the bloodied sheets.

She hadn't wanted her moment with Kiyomi to be on the bloody sheets and she was scared that it would ruin the mood that they had set, even though she didn't know what food that was.

It was a lot for Sakura to handle, but she was scared of telling it to Kiyomi, so she kept her eyes closed, hoping that Kiki wouldn't leave just because she said something. At least this time she didn't apologize even though the apology was lingering on her lips, right?

"Oh, my pretty fierce rebel," Kiyomi asked as she moved around the bed, even the gun Sakura had kept her eyes closed. It was like the wild queen didn't know what she needed to do about this and she didn't want to think for once. Just this once, she wanted to be normal, but would she ever be normal?

"Look at me, Saki," Kiyomi said softly.

"I'm s… I can't. I don't want to ruin the moment," Sakura said and Kiki chuckled.

"It's okay, baby. Open those eyes for me, love."

"But—"

"Do you trust me?"

"With my life."

"Then look at me. Don't be scared… you didn't do anything wrong; I promise."

"But what if—"

"I love you too, Saki. So very much. I just want to stare into the eyes of the woman that I love," Kiyomi said and Saki opened her eyes a little too fast that she could have sworn her eyelashes fell off her eyes at that moment.

"What?" Sakura whispered as she looked at Kiki's dark eyes which were filled with emotions she had never seen before. Perhaps this was what love looked like, but what were the chances that this was a tick for her to open her eyes?

Oh, but even then, with her eyes opened, Sakura wasn't sure if she was allowed to look elsewhere. She felt dumb and out of control. She felt like he was just a puppy for Doctor Kiyomi Kimura, but that didn't worry her.

If anything she felt safe, and wanted, here, like this.

"There, there, baby," Kiyomi cooed.

* breathes in RELIEF yohhh... they can't be playing with us all the time smh
