Chapter 6

Inside a dimly lit room:

"My baby," a woman's voice mocked, followed by a loud laugh. She did a crazy hair flip and crossed her right leg over the other stylishly.

She stared at her reflection in the vanity mirror before her and added more red lipstick to her lips.

"Oooou, you're beautiful, baby," she lauds herself, smacking her lips together, repeatedly to blend the mixed colors on her lips.

She picked up her hair brush with a smile and began to brush her long brown hair beautifully. She couldn't contain her happiness.

"I'm so lucky I found out earlier. I can't imagine one stinky child running all over the house," she made a disgusted expression and returned her brush to its initial position.

Crossing her arms over her chest, she lifted her chin with an air of pride, saying. "If anyone should have a child in this house, it should be me. But sadly, I don't want a child," she scoffed, "so no one should."

The door of the room unexpectedly flipped open, distracting her thoughts. She veered her head toward the door, only to see the man of her dreams standing before the door.

The smile across her lips widened and her eyes became more calculating. She walked away from the all-white vanity table and sat on the bed seductively.

She flashed him a small sensual grin and reached for the belt of her night robe. The man at the door did not react to the woman's act. Unlike in the past, he had an unpleasant expression on his face.

His eyes scanned the room. The lights were so dim, that seeing was difficult but soon, his eyes got adjusted to it. He listened to the low sensual music being played in the background.

Finally, his eyes landed on the bed, catching sight of the woman on it. She was in a seductive red thong that barely left anything covered.

Daniel stared at the woman on the bed, wordlessly. He slowly walked towards the bed to take a closer view of her.

Her eyes met with his and she gave him a fox smile. Daniel felt his cock stir alive just by that look. With heat in his eyes, he scanned her again.

She laid on her back, each of her legs apart. Her pussy dripped, and her juice stained her thigh, even the sheets.

Her juice gave him a wordless invitation. His eyes went up to her black eyes, and back to her clit, and then her eyes again.

"I can't," he dropped those two words and walked away from her, "You should sleep, Diana,"

Diana blinked in disbelief. The sexual tension in her dropped. She shut her legs and sat on the bed.

"You have never refused me," she mentioned in a low voice, aggressively dangerous.

Daniel's feet halted. Her words slapped him but he refused to show it. Walking to the light switch, he made the whole place bright again.

Ignoring her whole existence, he took off his business attire and laid on the bed with just his boxers, exposing his toned body.

Diana gritted her teeth in confusion. This has never happened. She watched Daniel place a hand over his forehead and shut his eyes.

"I demand an explanation," Diana said, harshly. She sounded impatient for an answer. What just happened doesn't seem normal.

Daniel peered one of his eyes open. He stole a glance at the ceiling and turned his back on her, before saying. "I lost my child today. That's all,"

Diana's eyes widened at his words. She never expected those words to be his explanation. Her man was filled with surprises.

She scoffed, "And so?"

Daniel turned to her, "And so?" He repeated her words, speechlessly.

Diana rolled her eyes frustratedly at how he sounded. She sat up on the bed and folded her arms across her chest. She made sure to make her chest endowment look more attractive in that pose by pushing out her chest

"Of course," she pouted, "Are you going to punish me because of a dead child your wife killed without remorse?"

Daniel's jaw clenched.

"Also, why_"

"Keep quiet," Daniel cut her off with a growl and sat up on the bed, "If you have nothing more to say, go to bed. I don't even want to hear you breathe," he warned.

Diana's face turned red in embarrassment. She turned away from him with an arrogant huff and rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Your wife is a wh*re. I'm not even sure the child she carried was yours. She lost her child today and without waiting for a day, she ran away into the arms of her lover," she murmured, raising her voice a little for Daniel to listen clearly.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!" She suddenly yelped in pain.

Daniel took quick action and held her neck tight. He slammed her head on the headboard in the next second. She never saw this coming.

"One more word from you again about my wife, I promise to destroy you. That child was mine and I promise to break whoever killed my child without giving me a chance to see her," he hurled, staring at her, breathless in anger.

Diana's eyes immediately had tears in them. She searched Daniel's eyes and for the first time since she met him, he stared at her with hate, and not affectionate.

She cautiously shifted away from him and her heart skipped a beat when she remembered his promise to his unborn dead child.

She smartly rolled off the bed, away from him. She has seen him hitting the wife he now claims to love and she doesn't want to be such an object to him.

Keeping a distance, she yelled, "She killed your child herself. That was her plan from the start. Don't let her try brainwashing you, she never loved the baby that grew inside of her."

Daniel's face fell, his anger level dropped and he became sober again. "Amelia can never do that. She hated me, but not our child. She said she did not, so she didn't. Someone's behind this,"

Seeing him sober again, Diana rolled her eyes and stood straight with an air of pride. It broke her that his wife still had control over him. Even if Daniel denies it, Amelia does, and everyone sees it.

Well, she's gonna turn a blind eye to that.

At first, she promised herself not to show him the pictures, but now she would. She has to let her words sink into his head.

Picking up her phone from the lampstand, she brought out a series of photos sent to her and passed the phone over to Daniel.

"Here, take a look at the wife who you think is innocent." There was a hint of mockery in her voice.

Daniel scanned her warily before taking the phone from her. He laid his lazy eyes on the phone but when he saw what the images presented, his eyes shot open.
