" The mermen in the lake have been dead for a long time since then"

"Yeah, that was my reaction as well when I first read about it, the report I received made no mention of the cause it is listed under mysterious circumstances. Initially I thought that they got affected by some Magical disease or poisoning but that has been ruled out as well.

The investigator I put for the job found that they all simply slept one and did not wake up "

" Like the killing curse but how it doesn't have an area of effect it simply a killing beam of light. "

" Yes we all have been on the receiving end of it far too many times during the war that even I would suspect someone using that spell but the result is the same "

" Why didn't you bring that up?"

" During the meeting? huh you think the majority would care? the response for sentient species that spend their entire life around wizards and speak the same language was so poor what do you think they would say about mermen?"

" She's in Germany there were stories that said that the first house elf was contracted near the black forest. She has gone to verify that and possibly find some clues"

"I expect then to come back a week later once they realize that how dependent they were on them but till then I expect them to at least be vigilant or aware about it and not blame me "
