Kristen:

2 weeks after the accident...

I happily walked towards Lucy's house, which was just a few blocks away from mine, and I couldn't help but feel giddy with excitement. I had the key to her house, and I knew she had one to mine. I softly opened her door and made my way to her first-floor room, knowing that she never locked her door when she slept. She had always been afraid of the dark and had nightmares, just like me. I entered her room, which was huge and incredibly beautiful. The walls were painted a soft pink, and everything in her room, from her dresser to her wardrobe, was a combination of pink and white, just like a fairy tale.

As I approached her cozy bed, a huge smile spread across my face. She had her head buried beneath the covers, and I could hear her gentle breathing as she slept. She was like an angel, so pure and innocent, and I felt so lucky to be able to protect her from anything that might harm her. I slowly drew back the curtains, letting the warm morning light fill her room. I couldn't help but feel overjoyed to be able to share this moment with her.

"Mom, leave me alone," she muttered as she nestled deeper into her blanket. She always sleeps like a dead person and is tough to wake up. I could use the ice water trick on her, but I had a different plan this time. I crept up to the edge of the bed, bent slightly, brushed her blonde hair away from her ear, and screamed.

"Ah!" She yelped and fell from her bed I let out a hard-to-control laugh and dashed out of her room before she could catch me. She sprang up from the floor and gave me a venomous stare before following me out of her room.

"Kristen, You're going to have to pay for it! Stop right there, you sneaky rat." She yelled and lunged at me. I dashed down to the main hall, laughing so hard as she grabbed me and pushed me face-first onto the sofa. I tried not to snicker at the sight of her nested hair. "Come on over here, you little witch!" She squealed. When she abruptly pushed me away from the sofa, I began to tickle her and we both laughed at our immature behaviour.

"Just be grateful that I got you up on time before we ran out of time for our assignment," I said standing up.

"Assignment?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh my gosh, I completely forgot about that." she groaned, lightly rubbing her brow.

"We have to leave in 10 minutes, so you better hurry," I said as I tapped my watch.

She was dressed in a bold red tube top that accentuated her curves and a sleek black skirt that stopped just above her knees. Her golden hair was styled in a high ponytail, framing her oval face and reaching her shoulders. She kept her makeup minimal, preferring to show off her natural beauty, which was stunning without any additional help. Her eyes were a deep blue, like the ocean, and her sharp nose and tiny lips added to her unique charm.

I, on the other hand, was dressed in a beautiful beige gown that hugged my figure perfectly. I styled my hair in soft beach waves that cascaded down my back and reached just above my waist. My natural pink lips were full and plump, and I added a little gloss to enhance their volume.

"Kristen, you look amazing today," she said, complimenting my appearance. I was a little taken aback, but she hugged me and let out a giggle, making me feel at ease.

"Do you have a special occasion?" she asked playfully, gesturing towards my attire. The thought of seeing William made my heart race, and I could feel a blush spreading across my cheeks. I tried to hide it, but she saw right through me.

"Is it because of those green eyes?" she asked with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. My blush deepened, and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

"No," I replied, trying to suppress my smile. I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards my car, and we continued our conversation about William on the way to college.

Once we arrived, I looked around for him, hoping to catch a glimpse, but he was nowhere in sight. We quickly gathered our books and headed to my first class. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, but I was hoping to see him later in the day.
