----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.
"What do you mean I'm the only one who can take him on? You do realize that he literally lives in my body right?" Arthur asked in a confused tone as he didn't understand how he could defeat a creature that was a part of him.
"There's no time for asking questions, we've got to leave right now," said Yosel as he snapped his fingers and teleported the two of them elsewhere. More specifically, the island where the two of them were on before Arthur decided to attack his school.
"Why are you in so much stress?" Arthur asked to which Yosel simply stated silent and placed his palm forward before increasing the weight that was on Arthur's body to the maximum point. Instantly, Arthur's bones broke as he didn't expect that much weight to have been placed on him. As such, he was slammed face first right into the ground.
"W-What the hell do you think you're doing? You're suffocating me," said Arthur as he began to lose air in his lungs.
"Relax, it's not like you're going to die. That demon inside you will continue to help you stay alive which in turn will allow your body to grow in strength. This is for the best. If we want to defeat that thing inside you, we have to take everything to the extreme," said Yosel to which Arthur didn't understand why he was going through all of this.
"But why do I have to do it right now? It's not like we know when he'll make his appearance. If he wanted to, he would posses my body right now and kill you so that you could not train me any longer and as such, he wouldn't have to worry about anything," said Arthur as he tried to make Yosel understand.
"However on the other hand, he just doesn't see me as a threat so he's willing to let me train you. Does he really have so much power that even with all the training I plan to put you through, he'll still be more than powerful enough to kill you?" Yosel asked as his heart continued to race as he simply could not understand what he could do to protect the world from the demon that lived inside Arthur. That was when the demon had enough of hearing Yosel panic and decided to step in. As such, the demon skin began to wrap around Arthur's head alone to allow the demon to speak.
"Can you relax for just a second? If I wanted to destroy this world, I would've done it by now. The reason I made the deal with Arthur wasn't so I could wreak havoc, it's so that I can hold on to this vessel. It's the most compatible one that exists in this world. Moreover, the actual reason that I made the deal with him to take over his body is because there's a new threat approaching you. You've already angered them enough. They won't sit still any longer. Soon, they'll make their move and Arthur will be one of their targets. After all, they were the ones who summoned me," said the demon inside Arthur as he took over Arthur's lips so that he could speak to Yosel.
"Who are you referring to? There shouldn't be anyone alive if summoning a demon if your class," said Yosel in a confused tone before gasping mid sentence as he realized who the demon might have been talking about.
"You remember why the previous council of sorcery was forced to close right?" the demon asked to which Yosel gave a terrified nod.
"I remember it exactly. I heard about it so many times that could never forget that day. They had sacrificed over 1 million people in secret. Over the years that they ruled the world, there were an unimaginable amount of missing people cases all around the world. Specially the year before they got caught, they decided to go all out and managed to sacrifice nearly 5 hundred thousand people. That year was labeled as the year of the forgotten; truly one of the worst years in human history. After that, they were taken to court were they were all sentenced to prison for the rest of their lives. Of course the number of years were 1 billion years. So about 1000 years for each life they took and as such, they would rot in their prison cells," said Yosel as he was quite satisfied with how the story ended.
"You seem rather happy that they went to prison," said the demon to which Yosel gave a confused look before replying hastily.
"Of course I'm happy! They're the most messed up people this world has ever seen. They deserve every last second that they got in prison. If I was the judge, I would make it an infinite sentence to prison," said Yosel which the demon began to laugh in pure joy.
"What's so funny huh?" Yosel asked as he grew with irritation as the seconds passed.
"Well, I mean you said you would do that if you were the judge. Now listen to yourself carefully, you said IF you were the judge. You see, the judge who was conducting their trial was a very close friend of theirs. So of course they would make it seem like they were going to get more than what they deserved for their crimes so it was all faked. No one from the previous council of sorcery actually served any jail time. That's the funniest part. They just simply set up clones to make it seem like they're were doing their time in jail when they've been secretly planning to summon me. The real reason they sacrificed so many people was to summon me and implant me into their leader so that he could gain all the power he wanted. However our bodies were not compatible and I didn't see a need to stay with them so I simply left and found a body that seemed like it suited me well. That being Arthur," said the demon as he continued to talk to Yosel.
"Wait could you happen to be… the lord of hell, Lucifer?" Yosel asked to which Arthur's possessed body gave a nod with an evil grin on his face.
