----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.
"Huh? This doesn't feel like the ground," said Leon to which Arthur replied gently.
"That's because it's not," said Arthur as he tried to push Leon away from him with a light swing but instead moved his hand so fast that it twisted Leon's wrist and broke it instantly. It had turned out that instead of landing on the ground, Leon's fist had landed on Arthur's palm.
"Oh my, are you okay? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to break it," said Arthur as he tried to apologise for breaking Leon's arm which was all the more embarrassing as his literal enemy who he attacked first was apologising for breaking his arm without intending to. Even so, Leon would not allow himself to be humiliated once again.
"I was told that I wasn't ready to use this spell yet but it looks like I don't have a choice. I would rather die than lose a humiliating defeat once again to the likes of you," said Leon before beginning to cast a spell.
"Tier 10 Spell:-" Leon began to speak and hearing those words terrified Arthur. Not because he was scared of the attack that would come at him but because of the consequences that a tier 10 spell had on a body that was not ready to use it. Arthur had experienced the consequences of it first hand when he tried to use a tier 10 spell without having any guidance. He would have died that day if not a miracle had occurred. In fact, Arthur would have died if he didn't have the support of the demon inside him that kept healing him while the tier 10 spell ate away at his heart.
"NO! DON'T DO IT! YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET IT!" Arthur yelled to stop Leon but he simply didn't care. This was because he was too absorbed in the idea that he could live the perfect life if he just killed Arthur which was rather sad. However Arthur wasn't going to give up on Leon. Not because he saw him as a friend or rival. He simply wanted him to grow with hatred in his heart until Arthur could use him like a punching bag to get out all of the frustration that he had been holding in for so many years.
"I guess I don't have a choice here," said Arthur before beginning to speak quickly so that he could cast his spell faster than Leon could cast his.
"Tier 3 Spell: Ocean Overflow"
Instantly, a large pool of water surrounded the entire field and was tall enough to completely submerge Leon inside it which caused him to break his concentration and made him try to swim up so that he wouldn't drown.
Seeing as Leon had stopped trying to cast the spell, Arthur snapped his fingers which caused the wave of water to disappear and Leon once again gained his balance.
Seeing this, Arthur instantly got close to Leon and punched him right in the chest. Due to his new strength Arthur broke Leon's ribs with ease and caused him to pass out.
"Good, that should have you down for a while. As for the rest of my business," said Arthur as he got a grin on his face and turned his head towards the principal who had come out of his office to see what all the commotion was.
"I know Yosel told me not to mess with them but this is going to be a whole lot of fun," said Arthur as he lit up in excitement.
"Look who's back," said the principal as he began to walk towards Arthur with a blood lusted face.
"I should've killed you when I had the chance. Insects like you shouldn't be allowed to live. It looks like I have to get rid of the mess I allowed to exist for so long," said the principal as he began to roll up his sleeves.
"Tier 8 Spell:-" the principal began to speak as if he was casting a casual spell.
"Oh so you're starting off strong? I should have expected just as much from the person who hated me most in this school. Even so, don't worry, I plan to make you pay for every last punch you landed on me and for every scar you caused on my body," said Arthur as he lifted his shirt to reveal the dozens of scars on his body which were cuts and scratches of all sizes that the principal was responsible for.
Instantly, Arthur flew directly towards the principal and landed a devastating kick to his chest which did quite a lot of damage since the principal didn't expect a mere child to be so strong.
"Oh I see now, it seems that you've been hiding quite a bit of strength. Even so, you're still nothing but a child, you don't stand a chance against someone as powerful as myself," said the principal before punching Arthur in the chest as hard as he possibly could before grabbing him back by his head and slamming him right in the ground.
"Wow, that hurt so much! Even so, I can't help but feel so happy. There's so much energy coursing through my veins. I just want to let it all out!" Arthur yelled out which caused a sudden shift to occur. The demonic side of Arthur was beginning to get excited as if it wanted to get a chance to fight the principal because of how much he resembled Yosel in terms of power.
"Let me take him on," the demon said with a grin inside Arthur's head to which Arthur refused.
"No! This is my battle. Stay out of this until I say that you're allowed to enter!" Arthur yelled out which offended the demon but simply confused the principal.
"Oh no, how awful. It seems you don't quite understand how things work here. I do not ask for your permission. Ever. I do what I want, I simply inform you before I do so," said the demonic creature before wrapping Arthur's body with its demonic red skin as it took total control over Arthur.
"This should be plenty of fun," the demonic creature said while walking towards the principal all while causing an earthquake with every step.
"This is where you die!" the demon announced to the principal.
