Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

Paranoia

"Hey Sofia, I've been wanting to ask for a while, do you mind going to a dungeon with me?" Arthur asked one day as he was already starting to walk as most of his body had completely recovered.

"Sure," said Sofia with a smile to which Arthur looked happy as the two walked out of the house together and started heading out for a near by dungeon.

"Hey Arthur, why don't you wear any armour?" Sofia asked Arthur as she was covered in a full set of metal armour which didn't have anything special about it which confused Arthur as for someone that called dungeons easy to clear, she had a relatively weak set of armour unless she just wore it for the aesthetics.

Seeing Sofia close up for the first time, Arthur was mesmerized by her beauty. He hadn't realized just how pretty she was.

"Her lips are so soft," said Arthur out loud without realizing that he had said it out loud instead of in his head. Hearing those words, Sofia blushed before continuing to walk forward which Arthur followed while being embarrassed by the words he had said.

"Look over there!" Sofia said with a smile as she saw a blue gate in the distance. It had already been activated.

"Wow, I guess they come in all colours," said Arthur as he didn't realize that the only normal colour was blue and the first dungeon he had ever went into was an abnormal and rare dungeon. However he said it in his head so Sofia had no idea what Arthur said in his head and as such would not know that Arthur was one of the very few people to have gone into a green dungeon and possibly the only person to have made it out alive.

"Follow me. I'll protect you," said Sofia as she was under the impression that Arthur was rather weak to which Arthur simply nodded as he thought that she was stronger than him as well because of the statements she had made so he followed behind her.

After the two had made it to the gate, Sofia walked in first and Arthur followed behind her with a rather causal face as he knew if things got bad, he could equip his demon king armour and have Excalibur as well as the bident he received from the demon king.

As the two walked inside the dungeon, they were greeted by a rather peaceful grass field which Arthur thought looked familiar which it was as it was the green dungeon's terrain before it had been turned to hell.

Seeing as Sofia was walking forward carelessly, Arthur grabbed her by the shoulder and tried to pull her back as he thought that a large demon would fall from the sky like last time.

"Huh? What's wrong?" Sofia asked as she was rather surprised by the sudden action that Arthur had taken as he had never done something like that.

"Sorry, I thought something would activate in the dungeon," said Arthur as he was embarrassed.

During their time inside the dungeon, Arthur was on edge while they continued walking through it as he believed that the dungeon would summon some kind of great beast but it didn't. The most that appeared were a group of weak goblins which Sofia took care of easily.

"Hey Arthur, it's fine if you're scared. Don't worry, I can take care of all the enemies," said Sofia with a smile on her face before the two had finally reached the end of the dungeon where in fact a large monster fell from the sky and almost landed on top of Sofia if not for Arthur who had leapt forward and grabbed her before pulling her back.

"Wow, that was a close one. Thank you," said Sofia.

"You should probably step back though. It looks like quite the strong one," said Sofia as she got her blade ready to fight the giant goblin which had appeared infront of the two. It carried a large wooden club which looked to be rather strong in Sofia's eyes however Arthur simply saw him as rather a weak insect which he could crush in a matter of seconds.

Seeing as how Sofia was confident in her own abilities, Arthur let her do as she pleased and simply watched. At first Arthur believed that she was allowing the goblin to land hits on her however as the seconds passed, it became clear that she was trying her absolute best yet she was losing.

Seeing how she was losing, Arthur tried to take a step forward to help her however right as she heard his footstep, she yelled back at him.

"Arthur stay back! I can defeat him! If you get involved, you'll die. I made a promise to protect you and that's what I'll do!" Sofia yelled out and right as she did, the goblin raised his club to the side before preparing to whack Sofia and as such bringing the battle to an end.

"Man, you're really selfish," said Arthur as he stepped in and blocked the club with his hand. Even though he didn't need to, Arthur was wearing the full set of demon king armour which made him nearly invincible.

In his hand was Excalibur, his treasure blade which he used to cut the goblin into so many pieces that it turned into complete dust.

"B-But how? You're supposed to be weak. I was supposed to be the one to protect you," said Sofia to which Arthur simply smiled.

"Don't worry, you protected me plenty already. Let me repay the favour by protecting you for once," said Arthur to Sofia to which she almost fell as her body was completely exhausted which Arthur replied by placing his arm behind her and pulling her back by her waist and taking her out of the dungeon as the battle was complete.

"Congratulations on clearing the dungeon," the robotic voice said to which Arthur simply walked out of the dungeon and began to head back towards Sofia's home while holding her in a princess carry.
