Conqueror of Magic

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read on mobile device for best experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Having lost his parents at a young age and not having access to a home since it had burned to the ground after a sudden outburst of flames, Arthur was taken in by the council of sorcery. Not because they had felt sympathy for him but simply due to the fact that even though his parents had been burned to ashes, Arthur did not even have a single scratch on his body. Now intrigued by the boy, the council of sorcery sent their most obedient servant; the one they call “the inspector” to relocate Arthur into a prestigious school so that his strength could bloom so that they could have a powerful ally in the future. Even so, the council of sorcery commanded that the school treated him like trash. This was because Arthur’s parents were quite powerful in their prime and as such were sought after by the council of sorcery. Even though it was an amazing offer for Arthur’s parents, they refused which invoked the long lasting rage of the council of sorcery. In a world full of factions that try to sway the tides of power to their own side, Arthur must now learn how to grow strong so he could finally find the person who had killed his parents and get revenge for the years of torment that the council of sorcery had put him through. Although he just might get quite a bit more than he bargained for. —————————————————————————————————————————— Note: This story will be quite long since there are a lot of things that need to be covered in the story. Sadly though, I’m fueled by compliments so the more people that enjoy this novel, the more I can write. Schedule plan for this novel is 2 chapters a day, 1000+ words each or if does quite well, it will be moved up to 3 chapters a day (same number of words each). —————————————————————————————————————————— Hope you enjoy this novel though, happy reading.

"Yes, I'm talking about exactly what you're thinking about. You see, one of the highest ranking members of the council of sorcery who also happens to be Leon's father was planning to retire. As such, he wanted to put up a good show for the shareholders of his business which would make the decision of if Leon was fit to take over the business or not. However what ended up happening was that his son was utterly humiliated in a matter of a second. Moreover, it was done by the school failure. This is even worse when you realize how much work had gone into Leon. You see, the member of the council of sorcery had spent a fortune on Leon by modifying him to be the best version of himself. You should already know what I'm talking about. Potential boost drugs. Not just that but any type of drugs that would help him increase his strength, speed, defence, intelligence, if it helped him, he used it. This had been going on for exactly a year since this plan had been in the making for quite some time. So you must understand, the Leon on that stage could rival you in strength. So imagine that happening to you. Imagine you were to get instantly defeated by this child. We can't be reckless with him. You see, even I'm quite concerned, after all, we're walking into the unknown," the inspector stated to which the principal looked shocked and at that exact moment, Arthur opened the door to greet them.

"Hello?…" said Arthur as he tried to figure out why not only 1 but 2 people were standing in front of his door which was the first time anyone, let alone 2 people came to see him at once. Arthur felt like a celebrity.

"Oh it's you principal. I believe that you're here because of what took place yesterday. I would just like to clarify that I was only there to take part in the event. I did not mean to harm your prized Leon and I understand if you want to give me any punishment to make up for my actions or even ban me from ever attending that event. If that will be all, I would like to get some rest," said Arthur as he finished his last word and began to close the door as if the conversation had finished before the principal or the inspector could give Arthur a reply. However right before the door could close, the inspector placed his foot forward to stop the door.

"I assume that you're Arthur right?" the inspector said as he stepped forward to speak to Arthur to which the 16 year old boy simply let out a sigh of exhaustion before replying.

"Yes, that would be me. Although what I don't understand is why you seem so worried. As if you're preparing for a fight. I already know why you're here and who sent you and for what reason. I won't make this hard for you so I'll give you the information you seek. I've been somewhat in this room for 3 years. I only leave on the day of the magic competition because that's when I'm required to be outside. I started isolating myself because I couldn't take the constant harassment I went through every day. To be honest, all I do is just sit around all day and sleep. As for yesterday's performance, I have an explanation for that too," said Arthur to which the principal and the inspector simply listened with a curious face.

"You see, before I isolated myself, I wanted to have a spell that I could use just incase I was faced with a powerful enemy. Just a single move that would help me win and I could move along with my day. So I did some digging inside the school library. Of course I had to sneak in to do that since they wouldn't allow trash such as myself to enter. After I found a spell similar to that, I just memorized it and that's the end of the story. I used that spell to defeat Leon yesterday," said Arthur to which the inspector looked shocked and had a worried look on his face as he suspected what spell Arthur was talking about but he needed to know if his suspicions were correct.

"If you don't mind me asking, what spell are you talking about?" the inspector asked to which Arthur looked puzzled as he thought it was obvious.

"I used 'One Tap Break', I think it was a tier 4 or 5 spell," Arthur replied.

"Oh I see. Then there's no problem with that. Even if a tier 5 spell is out of your league, you've spent 3 years perfecting it so I guess it would make sense that it would work. Now if you don't mind, I need to look around and make sure that everything in this room is up to standard condition," said the inspector before moving past Arthur and looking around as if he was analyzing the room.

Arthur didn't seem to care that much and let the inspector do as he pleased and when he was done, the inspector simply gave a nod and took his leave without saying anything to the principal.

"So… do you have any more business here sir?" Arthur asked to which the principal turned to face Arthur before snapping back to reality.

"Show some manners when you speak to me boy!" the principal said as he kicked Arthur in the chest with a face full of anger.

"I don't care how powerful you are or how much that inspector sees in you. In my eyes, you're nothing but worthless trash!" the principal yelled out before leaving the basement as the helpless Arthur laid on the ground, barely able to breathe.

"I should just kill this boy already! He's caused me too much trouble. Maybe I'll starve him to death," said the principal as he realized something else. Since Arthur never left his dorm, where did he get food and other necessities?

After Arthur made sure that the principal and inspector were gone, he stood up from the ground like nothing had happened and closed the door before yawning out of boredom.
