Challenger

"Welcome challenger," said a robotic voice as it greeted Arthur into the dungeon.

"Wow, this place isn't half bad," said Arthur as he walked forward and began to look at the terrain that he was on.

It was a large forest filled with animals that looked relatively peaceful. There was a large lake to Arthur's side that went on for miles on end. The trees inside were in groups filled with different types of trees.

"I expected something a lot more scarier for a place classified as a dungeon-" said Arthur however he was cut off and would regret the words he said as a large figure leaped from the air to the ground before landing right in front of Arthur.

Right as the figure landed, the environment began to lose its life as the lake turned into lava. The trees lost all their leaves and the trunks as well as the branches turned pitch black.

All of the animals were still walking however they were all living skeletons as their skin had been burned off completely.

As for the figure itself, it was a large demon with red thick skin and was shirtless. It wore short black pants and had sharp teeth. It carried a wide blade that was at least 1.5 metres long and carried it over his shoulder while staring at Arthur with blood lust.

"Good luck Arthur," said Lucifer which confused Arthur however just a second later, he would understand what Lucifer was talking about as right before he could even see that the monster in front of him had moved, he was hit by the flat part of the demon's blade and was knocked back to a near by tree.

"What the hell?" Arthur asked himself as he got up from the ground wondering what had happened. Even though he had expected the dungeon to be difficult, he hadn't expected it to be difficult to the point where he would get knocked back so easily.

"I see," said Arthur as he began to cast two spells at the same time to work with magic chemistry. First Arthur created a large floating ball of water before using his flames which were created from a second spell and by combining them, he created a mist to cover a large area of the battle field.

"Okay, this should be better now," said Arthur to himself before leaping towards the demon. Seeing as he was about to enter a battle, Arthur had placed his blade back into his inventory which was a spacial storage spell. As such, he was going to fight his enemy bare handed.

Once Arthur had leaped forward, he tried to kick the demon on his chest to which the demon replied with a sinister grin before grabbing Arthur's leg which was semi in the air before holding him in the air and started whacking Arthur on the ground by swinging him on either side of himself.

"Get. Off. Me!" Arthur yelled out as he caused a large explosion right infront of the demon using speechless spell casting. As such, the demon let go of Arthur to regain focus.

"Okay, time to get serious," said Arthur as he brought all of his attention towards the demon and began to punch the demon as hard as he could and it was clear that he was making progress. Seeing this, the demon tried to punch Arthur back however they were met by Arthur's punches. As such, the two traded blows however not one of them was willing to give in.

At some point, Arthur's hands began to bleed from making contact with the rough skin of the demon however instead of making him weaker like any normal person, Arthur began to smile before laughing while starting to punch faster and harder.

"Wow, you're really nuts. At least you'll be able to keep me entertained," said Lucifer as he began to laugh as well while Arthur and the demon punched in sync.

However the demon wasn't going to give up that easily as he began to strengthen his muscles and clenched his teeth which caused his punches to become a lot stronger. As such, the demon let out a final roar before landing a direct punch to Arthur's face.

Although it had been a devastating blow to Arthur's head, Arthur simply stood there after he took the attack and looked at the demon in front of him without even blinking.

"So that's how you want to play? How about a taste of your own medicine," said Arthur before punching the demon in the head as well to which the demon himself backed away due to the force that was used to hit him.

Using the two spells which he cast on purpose using his voice to show how merciless he would be, Arthur grabbed the demon by the top of his head using his left hand before using his right hand to continuously punch the demon over and over again. However just as would be expected, the demon had tried to raise his hand so that he could block Arthur's punch although that wouldn't work as even seeing the demon try to move angered him and caused him to punch the demon so hard that he killed him with a final blow to the head.

"It's over," said Arthur as he got up from the ground with an exhausted tone while looking up at the sky.

As for the demon, his eyes were pure white as they lost their life since he was no longer alive.

"Good job Arthur. I'm seriously proud of you for the first time. I expected you to struggle so much more. However it seems that I have underestimated what an entire year of constant training could achieve," said Lucifer.

"Thank you. It feels good to win like this," said Arthur as if his battle was over.

"I guess it's time to leave," said Arthur to which Lucifer began to laugh.

"What's so funny?" Arthur asked to which Lucifer didn't say anything.

"Congratulations on defeating the first level of the dungeon. Prepare for level 2."
