Chapter Forty-Seven

   Kate was standing in front of her dresser, her finger tracing the bracelets that held Hektates wolves. She had taken them off before they had left for the cafe, thinking she wouldn't need them. She had been so wrong. If they had been there when Enyo and the harpies had attacked maybe Amanda would have been standing with her. She turned from the dresser and began to search the room for each of the knives she and Hekate had stashed when they had first arrived. She was sliding one into her boot when a knock came at her door. She quickly covered her weapons stash with a blanket and went to open the door. As it swung open Zagryus pushed his way and closed it quickly behind him.

   His breath was heavy and she looked at him with a smirk and a quirked brow, "You okay?"

   He glared down at her, "Those women are crazy!" he burst out, he shook his head vigorously and she watched his spiked hair sway slightly.
