Lilah!" My mom called me as she barged into my room. "What do you want?" I asked her, there must be a reason why she was here. Don't get me wrong I wasn't being rude, it's just something with my family. We weren't the nice or happy big family like the one you guys have.

Ignoring my question she sat on my bed close to me smiling which irritated me, "I heard you brought a friend the other day." Wow! I should have known Christine wouldn't keep her mouth shut, she just goes around gossiping about what I do to my parents.

"And what about it?" I annoyingly asked. It's not like she cares about anything that I do.

"I just wanted to know who she is and you two met each other." She sounded concerned but I told her she was just faking it.

"Wow, so you can tell her to stay away from your mentally unstable daughter right!" I raised my voice.

"No! I….." She looked like she was going to cry.

"You what? 'Stay away from Lilah, she is mentally unstable. I'm not sure you want to be around such a person my dear,'" I mimicked my mom's voice as I stared at her.

"I would never do that," she tried to defend herself but we both knew she would.

"Then what happened to Kayla?" I stormed away into my bathroom leaving her there since she had nothing important to say. I sat on the bathroom floor crying, my parents never cared about me, they were both busy travelling the world and getting awards to even think about their daughter, sorry their mentally unstable daughter. When I came back outside my mom was gone and the person taking her place was Christine the snitch.

"You know you didn't have to be rude to her," she said.

"I did nothing wrong," I fired at her.

"She walked from here crying, cut her some slack she had suffered enough..."

"Do I look like I have suffered any less!" I yelled.

"I'll be in the kitchen if you need me," She got up and left the room. That was how our conversation always ended. I was so angry right now, I crawled into my bed to sleep.

Kimberly's POV

I woke up feeling energetic, like a weight has been lifted up from my shoulders. I rushed to school cause I had a lot to tell Lilah.

I found her in class. She seemed a little off like she hadn't gotten enough sleep.

"Hey," I greeted her. To my surprise she dragged me and kissed me in the front of the entire class, i was struck dumb. I didn't know how to react. When I recovered, I heard cheers from around us. Looking up I saw Kate walking towards me with anger written all over her face. I looked at Lilah with disbelief written all over me and I think she realized then that she screwed up. This was not the most romantic way to announce that you liked someone or I at least thought she did.

"We have to talk" was the only thing Kate said to me before she dragged me out of class. I could hear murmurs and whispers all around us. I suddenly wished I could disappear.

"What was the meaning of that little performance back in class. Since when did we starting keeping secrets Kim? Even if you're into girls why her? Of all people Lilah!! Are u out of your freaking mind? That witch has done nothing but bully you right from the first day we met her. What were u thinking?"

The questions kept pouring in one after the other. I barely had a chance to talk.

"Kate!! Quiet already. Le'me talk"

I think that was when she noticed that she's been yapping nonstop for the past fifteen minutes.

Where do I start from to start explaining now.

Lilah's POV

Omg!!!!!!!!

What have I done.

Did I just walk up to Kim and kiss her!!! Infront of the whole class!!!!!

Arrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I was loosing it for sure. I just screwed up. I face palmed my face. Gosh what was I thinking.

"oh my God, Lilah, what did you just do, did you just kiss that girl", my best friends asked in unison.

" Wait that means you're into girls or is this some kind of prank it's not April 1st is it?"

"Just shut it you two"

I turned and walked out of class. I need to find Kim and apologize to her. I could hear murmurs and whispers on my way out

Who knew the school's most popular girl is into girls. What a twist.

I smiled at that thought and went to look for my damsel in distress.

Kate's Pov

I just couldn't understand it. My best friend likes Lilah, the meanest girl in school. How was this even possible. I tried to wrap my head around everything she just told me and it felt as it my brain was about to dissolve from all the heat. Wait, when did this even happen because as far back as I could remember, we both were crushing on the same guy in fourth grade. This was a lot to take in. I slowly looked up and looked at her, she looked like she was about to faint. I hit her and told her to breathe and she let out a breath even she didn't know she was holding in. I know she was just waiting for my reaction and to be honest I didn't know how to react. Lilah was the last person I wanted Kim to end up with. Even if she was going to be gay then maybe with another person that wasn't named Lilah.

Gosh, I got goosebumps just by imagining the both of them together.

"Please, just say something already, I can't standstill much longer"

I looked up and I hugged her. I loved her so much so I was gonna support her after all.

She's my best friend what were you thinking.

Suddenly she broke out in a sob

We just stood there one sobbing and the other consoling.

When she gathered herself together, she muttered thanks and smiled. I smiled back at her too.

" I'm right behind you dewdrop, we're not letting a thing like this get between us okay. Now wipe those tears of yours. Thank God your mascara is waterproof otherwise who knows what you might look like now.

We both burst out laughing after that dumb joke.

After a while we heard the bell ring which means we had just ten minutes to be in class before the teacher entered.

" Come on let's go we need to get to class".

We walked back to class hand in hand and I was ready to beat up anyone who made a stupid comment about my Kim.

We came face to face with Lilah and from the look of things I could tell she had a lot to say.

I smiled at Kim, released her hand and walked into the classroom leaving both of them standing in the hallway. I just hope things don't take a downward slide and I was hoping this was a good idea.

Sigh. I exahled.
