Amelia went to find Helen. It was late in the afternoon, but the woman was a miracle worker. If anything kept pack morale high, it was food. She needed something to make this announcement sound positive, rather than the ominous sword hanging over her head that it felt like.
Helen was in her office, flipping through inventory charts and creating her order list for the next couple of weeks. Amelia leaned in the doorway and knocked on the door to get her attention.
"Hey, Helen," she said gently.
"Amelia. Hi, it's good to see you," Helen greeted.
Amelia felt some guilt. Helen reminded her of someone's grandmother. No matter how much trouble Amelia had caused when she was younger, Helen had always forgiven her and helped her with her next project.
