The Eagle Union Commander
What happened? I thought as I held my head and sat up.
I can hear waves, and the smell of the ocean. Am I on a beach? I wonder as I touched the sand.
I opened my eyes and saw a beautiful beach in front of me. The sky is calm and clear, the weather is nice and warm, and a refreshing breeze coming from the ocean.
Am I in heaven right now? Did I die!? I wondered as I remembered an explosion hitting near me as I was escorting civilians to the underground shelters.
I checked my body and saw no scratches, no wounds, no scars, and no blood.
"I guess I probably died, and went to heaven. I should probably see what this place has and relax afterwards.
I stand up and looked around. There are many palm and coconut trees nearby. The scenery inland is also beautiful, green rolling hills, and a forest on the other end.
Still, I can't see any other person, or at least some kind of evidence someone is here.
"Is this really heaven? Surely someone should've welcomed me by now if this is"
I suddenly felt something sinister coming from the ocean. As I looked back, purple portals started appearing, and black things slowly coming out of them.
Alongside them 2 girls with white hair and yellow eyes appeared. Things larger than them are floating behind them.
Guess this isn't heaven after all. Wait..... are those ship turrets!? I noticed the things behind the girls. One dressed indecently of what looks like a black night gown, and one dressed with a rather small sailor uniform.
"Ohh looks like we found the last commander first, Observer." The girl in sailor uniform spoke.
The black things have fully emerged from the portal showing that they are ships. A few of them look like aircraft carriers. The battleships that emerged trained their guns on my position, obviously making a threat.
"We must capture her quickly before they arrive. I'm sure they are now heading this way" The girl known as Observer said.
"Now come with us quietly and you won't get hurt"
As the sailor uniform girl approached, I materialized an ice sword and made a fighting stance.
"Ohhh so you are going to fight?"The girl trained the guns on me.
I was shocked. Wait those things are real ship turrets!?
I regained my composure and stared at her menacingly. After a few seconds a distant artillery fire is heard, and the carriers are hit with explosions shifting the girls' attention to the source of the attack.
"So they're already here" Observer sighed.
A chance! I thought as I immediately ran inland as these 2 are probably distracted enough to not notice me escape.
"Hey where do you think you're going?" The other girl immediately flew towards me.
Guess I was wrong. I subtly materialized ice shards around me. I stopped running and immediately turned around, covered my ears then launched the shards towards the girl.
Strong gusts of wind left the shards wake, along with a load boom.
The shards pierced through the girl's body making multiple holes on her torso. She just fell to the ground without realizing what just happened.
I should escape before she regains her senses. I continued to run towards the forest.
Whoever arrived also has battleships, there's now way that sound, and explosion came from a destroyer.
As I ran, I heard the sound of propeller planes arrive, and more explosions occurred on the beach where I was moments ago.

A fleet consisting of 2 battleships, 3 carriers, 3 cruisers, and 5 destroyers is currently approaching the island. On the deck of one of the cruisers stand a group of people observing the island for any disturbance.
"Commander we are nearing the island where the signal has appeared, so far no siren activity has been detected yet." A maid informed the Royal Navy commander who is currently standing in front of one her ship's front turrets
"Thank you Belfast. Warspite" He then turned the the petite girl standing on the bow holding a rather large sword.
The girl turned around to face the commander
"If ever the sirens emerge near the island, please be ready to snipe them immediately at any time. Prioritize the carriers if they show up"
"Yes commander" Warspite then deployed her rigging and jumped off of Belfast's ship.
"Illustrious, Ark Royal ready your air wings. Hornet please deploy your fighters for protection"
Illustrious and Ark Royal nodded at the order. Hornet launched fighter planes from her deck and made them circle the skies above the fleet.
"Cruisers be alert, destroyers lookout for any hostiles underwater"
The Royal Navy commander issued orders to be alert as experience with securing the the other 3 commander suggests that the sirens will definitely try to capture this last one.
Multiple portals then appeared near the island. After a moment, ships came out of each portal
"Warspite" The Royal Navy commander just called her name, to which the girl nodded.
Warspite begun firing at the siren carriers. Illustrious, and Ark Royal launched their planes, which headed for the siren fleet moving to surround the island.
"You could've just sat this one out. You're the one most at risk here you know" Another commander approached the Royal Navy commander.
"I know, but queen's orders"
The other commander sighed "Just what the heck is your queen thinking"
"Damn they're already there" On one of the other cruisers in the fleet, a girl with white hair and purple eyes cursed under her breath.
"Enterprise" A woman called out to the girl with white hair and purple eyes.
"Commander Jeanne"
"Let's go. Cleveland full speed ahead. Once Warspite's shells hit, that person will hide in that forest" Jeanne pointed to the forest in the middle of the island.
"Yes Ma'am!" Cleveland cheerfully responded
"Akira, Andrew good luck!" Jeanne waved at the two commanders as Cleveland's ship split from the rest of the ship. The other two returned the gesture.
"Also Enterprise, can you launch a scout plane and see if you can find that person.
"Sure" Enterprise did a motion of pulling the bowstring. An arrow of light then appeared as she aimed towards the sky, then released it. As the arrow flew upwards, it changed into a plane and headed towards the island.

"I... somehow.... managed.... to reach..... the forest... safely" I'm currently catching my breath as I sat beside a tree. I used too much of my energy from running, and attacking that girl.
Their battle sure is intense. I thought as the sounds of explosions increased, and pretty much disturbed the the peacefulness of the area.
I better continue........ Hmm? Is that a plane I hear? I noticed the sound of a propeller plane arriving, and getting closer.
The said plane plane then appeared from the direction I was from. Good thing there's only one, is it a scout perhaps?
I subtly materialized one shard in case the plane already spotted me and launched it. It's not as fast as what I used on the girl before since it will create strong gusts of wind, but still fast enough to not be seen by operators of the aircraft.
The plane got hit and started spiraling toward the ground.
I better hide now before the one who launched that plane gets here.
I tried to stand up, but my body isn't obeying me. I can't move, and I'm suddenly getting dizzy.
Tsk! I overestimated my remaining strength. I should've just run for it. I complained to myself for the idiotic action I made.

"Commander Jeanne, I have located the last commander" I reported to the female superior as we landed on one side of the island
"Location?"
"Just a couple hundred meters from our location. Just outside the forest.
"Is that person ok? Cleveland asked
"She looks exhausted, and is just resting beside a tree"
"Any siren in the area?"
"Yeah, but she was just laying on the ground. Although I did drop a bomb on her to make sure" I reported.
"Good. Let's hurry to that person before any more show up"
We started running towards the person hoping we could safely retrieve her. Then....
"Huh?........" I suddenly stopped, looking worried, and confused.
"What is it? Did something happen?" The commander asked.
Cleveland looked at me with worry.
"My...my plane just went down I can't really explain it, but my plane was suddenly shot down from the sky"
"Don't tell me the sirens appeared?" Cleveland is now horrified at the thought that they were too late to save the Eagle Union's new commander.
"No, but..."
"So what downed your scout?" Commander Jeanne asked.
"I'm not really sure. I didn't notice anything else in her area"
"Anyways, let's hurry" Cleveland then ran quickly ahead of us.
Commander Jeanne had to order Cleveland to slow down a bit as she pretty much leaving us behind.
"You just need more exercise commander Jeanne"
Commander Jeanne somehow got irritated, but she didn't clearly show it.
"What do you mean by that?"
After a couple of minutes, we finally reached the place where a girl is leaning against a tree, and pointing a wooden stick at us. She's glaring at us like we're enemies.
"Who are you?" The girl asked.
Commander Jeanne walked in front of us and introduced herself to the girl.
"Greetings mademoiselle, my name is Jeanne de Turenne. One of two commanders of the Iris Orthodoxy. Pleased to meet you" Jeanne put her right hand to her chest, and did a light bow as she greeted the new commander.
"I'm Enterprise"
"I'm Cleveland. Nice to meet you commander" Cleveland greeted the girl with a big smile.
The girl's glare became replaced with a look of utter confusion, although she still didn't put the stick down as she is still very wary of us.
"I know you still don't trust us, but I can assure you that we are allies" Commander Jeanne told the woman. "You can introduce yourself if you want to"
The woman observed me, and Cleveland. I did feel a bit uncomfortable being stared at. Cleveland also felt the same way. After a while, she breathed a sigh of relief and fell to the ground.
Commander Jeanne immediately rushed to the woman.
"Hey!, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm just too tired. Name's Sophia by the way, Sophia Arcadia"
"Nice to meet you Madame Sophia. Enterprise, can you carry her? We're heading back to the fleet"
I nodded and proceeded to carry Sophia on my arms in a bridal fashion. She got flustered for a bit, but then allowed herself to relax, and fall asleep.
