Chapter 30- Defend

"I won't take advantage on you. I know you're drunk, so rest. I'll leave once you fell asleep." he stayed quietly at her room until she fell asleep. He was staring carefully at her peacefully sleeping.

He didn't manage to control himself earlier, seeing her beauty and thinking that all the men in the grand hall were staring at her made him pushed his limit to the end. Her beauty was rare and special, and that's what made him wanting to own her by himself. He can't let other men have or even touch her hair. It makes his blood boil.

After some time, he left her room and came back to the grand ball to assist the remaining guests. Marquess Theodore talked to him regarding his daughter's issue.

"My apologies for my daughter's inappropriate behavior, Commander Adelard." the man said while raising a toast to him.

"I didn't think that she's going to come with you here tonight." he replied coldly as he sipped his wine without taking a glance at the Marquess.
