Chap 38 - Family Dinner

Rui Lin Zwei as our brother-in-law was definitely unexpected. That was only made even more unbelievable when Lucien fainted at the information freaking us all out but luckily Sylvester caught him and put him on the couch. I just stared at both the men processing the information. Sylvester, I recalled is Amerigo's godbrother as is his mother Stella Celeste. I remember Amerigo now. My memories have always been fuzzy before I was 9 years old. I don't exactly remember everything just bits and pieces. "Earth to Elijah. All okay in their, Eli ?" Sylvester's voice cut through the fog of thoughts. I looked up to see him smiling but his eyes were tinged with worry. I smiled in reassurance.

"I am okay, Sylvester. Just trying to recall all my fuzzy memories in order." Sylvester nodded. We turned to see Lucien blink his eyes open. He looked a little confused and then groaned burying his face into his hands, the tips of his ears red in embarrassment. I couldn't help but walk up to him and pat his head. "It's okay dear. It happens." I tried to reassure him but Lucien glared at my smirking face. "Meanie, you know how much I look up to Rui as he is my role model. I can't believe that I fainted in front of him." Lucien mumbled with a 'how can I be so stupid ?' look on his face to which Rui chuckled and patted his head. "Trust me, this was the most pleasant thing happened to me. Amerigo, when we met for the first time, decided to splash me with a slushy and use that moment to outright propose marriage. I then coldly told him off that he will ask to marry me not state that I will marry him." Lucien giggled making the others smile. I couldn't help but chuckle. " That is not all. Rui made Amerigo work for it. They were courting for literally two years when Amerigo had enough and gave a grand romantic proposal that swept Rui off his feet and finally they got married." Sylvester said making Rui glare at him while Lucien and I guffawed.

After we calmed down, we got down to business were both showed me the contract with Lucien reading over my shoulder. The contract was pretty good. It promised a good wage, reasonable hours and definitely enough training. It also gave a clause for unwarranted harassment and the likes. Along with it, the models had access to Luce Dulche Apartments which was located in the posh district Caira where many of the models stayed. Lucien's eyes beamed at that detail as it was nearby for him to go back home and the Art Institute. It also meant that he would be able to have a sense of independence. I could tell that this would be the start of something wonderful. I looked at Lucien who nodded. He signed the contract.

All of us were smiling when suddenly Lucien looked at me. I looked at him to see that he had questions about work through his eyes. I smiled at the worry and care. "All good at work. The three were worried but relieved. One is suspicious but has not outright asked me yet." I answered cryptically confusing Rui and Sylvester but my words did the job as Lucien relaxed. We were worried about the consequences of what happened at the Galatia Ball but nothing major happened. Our father and pseudo siblings were unhappy about our living conditions but I knew Kylian was suspicious of our true identity but has not asked yet making all of us feel relieved. With that settled and down with, I turned to Lucien to ask things when a phone rang suddenly.

It turned out to be Lucien's phone which was surprising as he rarely got any calls. He pulled it out to see an unknown number. He answered it. "Hello....yes, this is him...." he walked away signalling us to wait. I nodded and watched while Rui and Sylvester looked on. "Spill, what was the cryptic conversation was all about ?" Sylvester exploded. Before I could answer, Lucien's voice suddenly raised making all of us turn in his direction to see him tightly gripping the phone in anger and sporting a cold look on his face. Freaked out, all three of us ran just in time to hear "....you have some really fucking guts, Mr. Ασήμι. To use Elijah as means to get me out of modelling, you have sunk lower than I thought." At this moment, red filled my vision. I marched up to Lucien and grabbed the phone from him. " Mr. Ασήμι, I am unbearably disappointed in you for using me as a means of stopping my brother from fulfilling his dreams. In my eyes, you are nothing but scum. You should find out the real truth as what happened when you guys were in high school. Until then do not call Lucien." with that, I hung the phone and blocked the number. I looked to see Lucien upset and eyes red from controlling his tears.

I walked over and wrapped him in a hug in which he melted. " Don't worry about the moron. It is absoluetly not your fault that he is dense and can't see things clearly. So, let him rot. He will soon realize what a gem is missed out on." I said while hugging Lucien tightly. Lucien nodded and hugged me back. I looked to see Rui angry and Sylvester had a cold look that made chills go up in spine. " Why don't I take you guys out for family dinner ? I would like to introduce you to one half of my couple partnership." I blurted out which made both heads swivel at me. Lucien giggled at the statement. " What about the other half ? Don't you both have a date with him tonight ?" Lucien asked slyly. "You brat....all right. Ask Clive if you can babysit Decker and tell him." I replied.

Lucien grinned and rushed to phone Clive while I decided to answer Rui and Sylvester's questions. "I am dating two people at the moment who are also dating each other as well. One is a divorcee with a son and the other is a fashion designer. Lucien knows whom I am dating. So, you will probably be meeting my son....Sylvester and Rui, will you be honest with me ?" I asked. They nodded.

I took a deep breath and asked "Will my real parents and big brother have a problem with the fact that I am in a polyamorous relationship ?" Rui and Sylvester both smiled and shook their heads. "They will absolutely have no problem as long as you are happy. Though first, let's get them to recognize you both." Rui said as Lucien sped back in with a gleam in his eyes. "Clive said it was okay to introduce Decker and himself to them before you guys leave." The men looked happy at the prospect of meeting new family members which has resulted in looking like they got new candy. With those plans set in mind, we exited the place to go for a family dinner yet to happen in anticipation.
