Ch.02 :Life at school

Ollie got selected to Newtown middle school and a new life was awaiting there for her to begin. She was a little terrified at first, new school, new teachers, new classmates, everything was so unusual for her and she found it so hard to blend in with the others. While the other students were starting to make new friends, Ollie was sitting alone looking at the park behind the window. She observed the movements of the people, how some dog owners were struggling to keep their dog in control if a cat passed by. Every little detail were grasped by her. She was feeling so lonely for the fact that she had no friends.

After she got home she cried telling her mom that she's so lonely and the only one with no friends. Her mother encouraged her saying,

"Everything will get back to normal sweetheart and you just need some time for that"

Her mother was right. At the next day there was a new student in the class who looked so helpless and she came near Ollie and asked,

"Can I sit here?"

and then she sat next to her, giving a Ray of hope for Ollie to have a good time in school. Her name was Nivia and these two really started to have a good friendship. They ate together at the lunch break. They did homework and also talked a lot.But it didn't last long.

Ollie was a bright student with good grades so other students approached her and some of them even tried to be friends with her. This kind of made Ollie feel so proud of her and she started to make new friends. Because of that Ollie forgot Nivia at some situations, she spent her lunch break with new friends, she hung out with them at the park. Her friendship with Nivia withered away completely, making Nivia feel so bad and heartbroken. Nivia was so stressed about the fact that her one and only friend abandoned her, so she even had to pay recent visits to school consultant. Then she was moved to the other class by the homeroom teacher.

After that incident, Ollie felt guilt in her heart for what she did. She knew that it was her fault for not taking care of her friend. She had no courage left to face Nivia and everytime Nivia was around,Ollie hid somewhere to not to get noticed by her.
