Why Would You Be In A Rush?

"We are atop the hill, it seems like a viewing deck for the whole city," Kaito answered when they received a call from Shinobu.

The two of them were going on ahead a while ago and when they noticed the path and looked back the other three were no longer there.

Having no desire to walk back and search for them, Astra told him that they should just continue and just give them a call.

Seeing that she was already tired of the crowd and the fact that she didn't complain at all all night, Kaito agreed to what she wanted and the two of them went there.

The place were deserted for most were enjoying the festival and so no light was in there and they could clearly see the night life of the city.

The lights were blinking like the night sky and it was truly mesmerizing.

"They were a bit far from here, they thought we just kept going and went on their way. They are about thirty or so minutes away from here," Kaito told her after he hanged up.

"Well, the place was beautiful and peaceful, we can just wait for them in here."

It was indeed beautiful and Astra enjoyed it for a good ten minute time, but the beauty was interrupted when five people came and the place turned eerily quiet.

Astra who was watching minding her own business, realized this and when she did look back, she found Kaito with a dark look having a staring contest with those five people.

She also saw Minami behind these five men and her eyes were red.

'Are we in a damsel in distress scene right now?' she thought as she walked close to Kaito.

"Say Kaito, it has been so so long. How have you been?" one asked.

Kaito didn't say anything and just pulled Astra by the hand, pulling her behind him.

Astra looked up at him, he seems to be on guard towards these people, 'It's not like I am a weak person. He knew that better than anyone.'

Despite thinking that way, she didn't say anything for the atmosphere was heavy.

'This must be part of the second grade past of his,' she added looking back at those people opposite them.

"Your girlfriend? Quite a weakling isn't she, only at number four," that one said again, he looks like the leader of the group.

'Girlfriend? Wow, quite advance in your thoughts,' Astra replied.

And even though she had been replying in her mind, she couldn't do so upfront because she never saw Kaito as serious as this before.

"Why would you care?" and just as she had expected, Kaito's voice were both cold and distant.

The boy laughed, "Still the same I see. Acting like the knight and shining armor. How many have fallen for that?"

"Was it 6?" one answered him.

"No I think it was already ten," another replied.

Astra raised an eyebrow, Kaito actually saved a lot of damsel in distresses?

The other four laughed as they joke around about this but Kaito remained silent and was looking even more serious. Astra also noticed that his fists were clenched into a fist, his knuckles turning white.

"Why don't you introduce us again?"

'Again?' Astra was getting more and more confused by what they were talking about.

At the same time, seeing that it was another round of someone bullying the other, she mentally shook her head. All she wanted now was just to go home.

Kaito still didn't say anything.

"Scared that I will take her again? Don't worry, I'll reject her the moment she confess to me this time."

They once again laughed, enjoying this. 

Astra looked up at Kaito and she could see that the anger a while ago was no longer there, he was plainly serious right now.

'Now that's a good trait, you realized that getting mad now won't do you any good.'

"Don't be scared miss. We won't do you any harm."

Seeing her look up at Kaito, the leader thought she was scared and was looking for comfort..

She looked back at him in a dead pan manner, Kaito looked down at her this time and actually had the urge to laugh, she looks like the way she always do whenever they ride the train during the afternoon.

When there's just too many people, not allowing her to move freely.

'She must be thinking of going home right now instead of these ridiculous people,' he thought.

Well, she had always been like this, go with the flow but would also do whatever she wants.

"Come on Kaito, introduce us to her. Or have you forgotten our time during the second grade?" the leader kept talking not noticing that the two people in front of him does not even put him in their eyes.

"There's no need, why don't you go on your way, while we go on our own," Kaito finally replied before taking a step away from these people.

"Now, now, why would you be in a rush?"

Kaito didn't take another step and just looked back at the person with an indifferent look.

Instead of talking to Kaito, he now looked at Astra.

"Hi miss, I am Brook. Hmmm, well I guess we can say that I am a teacher of his when it comes to fighting," he said with a smile.

Astra remained silent, he couldn't even clearly register in her eyes what these people look like. All she can see that they are players just like herself and Kaito, except of course for Minami who was still watching on the side.

So with nothing more to see about them, she look up in the sky and noticed that the stars were shinning quite brightly tonight.

'Is it because there were lesser lights around here?' she thought.

Brook's brows twitched upon seeing her reaction as if the sky was more entertaining than they are.

Kaito, seeing that Brook's face turned dark because of this, turned alert. He knew that Brook has a short temper and once it ends, he would surely cause chaos.

Brook looked at his people and nodded at them, the other four moved on different places surrounding Kaito and Astra.

"Brook!" Minami finally reacted.

Brook gave her a glare and she closed her lips instantly.

Astra scoffed, if you can't do anything then just shut up and watch just like how you had been doing from the beginning.'

"They are stronger than I am, I guess you can see that by their numbers at the same time, my numbers weren't a pair. I know you can fight just fine but still when you get the chance, runaway from here."
