Chapter 20 A New Man

"What are you going to do with this child then? You are alone now. When the baby is finally here, you will need help to care for the baby." Sarah made it very vague and tried to persuade me to abort the baby.

After all, it wasn't ideal to be a pregnant but divorced woman, one could easily imagine the hard-knock road ahead.

I gave her a smile but didn't explain, so she didn't ask any more questions.

I only had around seven hundred thousand dollars left of the one million dollars from the divorce payment. I still had more than six months till the baby was due, and I planned on nursing my child for another year before sending him to kindergarten. All of these would take three to four years from start to end.

I wouldn't have enough money for the both of us, so I had to make more money.

I was a pregnant woman now. It'd be difficult for me to find a job, no one would want to hire me.
