The corridor

I just walked down the path that would soon be on my way to my room. I felt slightly sad at the thought. Maybe it's because today was the last sleepover I would have with him. I guess I shouldn't push his buttons too much.

"...It's quiet."

I opened three rooms and viewed the interior. They had similar layouts though empty.

The last room in the corridor seemed intriguing. It was out of place and its position made it more eye-catching. The strange thing is that it was locked. There was a handle but I was certain that an extra lock was needed to unlock it.'

I didn't dwell on it much. It wasn't my place and I knew to respect his boundaries. I went to the sofa and watched a movie until I fell asleep midway.

I heard a door opening and a familiar scent reached my sensitive nose. My senses were heightened so I was aware of far more things than the average human. This was the result of years in training and the reason I had no competition in my succession.
