A mile from the capital there were a few mountains which were believed to have an Immortal as an inhabitant. Every year a few people would venture the mountains and would find many paradisiac landscapes hard to find if you didn't know the way.

In one of these paradisiac landscapes, a girl was sitting in a rock in the middle of the translucent lake. With her hair down that would move every time the wind brushed, the girl was dressing a loose robe and had her bare feet touching the cold rock.

In mediation, the girl would appear to be the immortal or a fairy that many of the visitants of the mountains were looking for.

The girl with the fair complexion exhaling holiness was no one else but Ming Shu.

After arriving in her escape place, Ming Shu took her shoes off and unmade the outer robe from her clothes. She normally wasn't crazy enough to expose herself in a public place. But this was a special location. In addition to being the hardest place to find, Ming Shu had visited this place for five years and never encountered a soul that knew or came here.

Making her way through the path of stone, she arrived at the biggest stone in the middle of the lake. This was where she would come to meditate and organize her thoughts.

Although the year passed with no major setback, there were many unfinished issues that needed to be solved. The first one, without a doubt, was the exact relationship that Lady Ye has with the Poison Sect and to deal with her. It would be extremely troublesome to have dealt with a little snake to only have a bigger one and kill you.

After having observed the Second Madam Ming's behaviour through an entire year, Ming Shu was almost Sure that she was the first apprentice from her Master. She would try to confirm soon after making a 'fate encounter' happen between her and her Master.

Although she would meet her Master to confirm, it was only to be 100% sure, since from the beginning she already had doubts about Lady Ye, which were solved after seeing Lady Ye herself solving the poison that Lady Ling schemes to put on her tea.

She remembered how funny was both of their reactions. It surprised lady Ling to see that the poison that should destroy Lady Ye prized complexion for days didn't have any effects and stupidly took herself to test and ended up with a lot of little red bubbles in her face. Whilst Lady Ling was suffering from Karma, Lady Ye was enraged breaking many things in her bedroom. Unfortunately for her, Ming Peizi visited her at the same time. Just as she threw the copper plate in her hand, the door of the room opened and the plate whizzed pass through his ear. At the end of the day, both Ladies were punished.

The second issue was that she didn't know why Wang Fangyi turned away from her. She tried many times to talk with her best friend but Fangyi avoided her each time. Now her friend had connections with houses she wasn't in the future that she knew of. She was happy that her friend made new friends, but the Young Misses that Fangyi befriended are not the type of people that she knew her friend would like to associate. Plus in a political view, the approach of the three houses was problematic.

The Wang, Gu and Xiao families. The three controlled soldiers, food and money for the entire country. Their sudden approach was clearly the work from someone behind the scenes, and all the outcomes that Ming Shu could imagine would lead to major changes in the country. What bothered her more was the fact that whoever was behind made explicitly clear that the Wang Family shouldn't be close with other families besides those two, as even her Grandmother had her sworn sister estranging herself.

The most probable and least favourable option was that one of the Princes discovered Si Yifeng existence and was trying to replace his Father by gathering the three most important ministries under him. What she didn't understand was why would the Wang Family who was always very loyal to the Emperor was allying to the rebel party...

Ming Shu sighed. She didn't want the Wang Family having a bad end, but as things stand now, they would clearly be eliminated by the Emperor who was surely aware of the unusual movements.

No, she couldn't let it happen! In her past life, in many instances, if not for them she would be discarded much early by Zhao Song than she was. She owed them too much and she would surely pay in full this time around.
