4 So Many Books *Lucy*

I was settling in and I only had to put away my books.

'Good thing there's already shelves here.' I thought as I stood on a chair and put some books on a shelf.

Then, THUD! I fell down and the books fell with me. Two people ran into my room, Brock and Sam. Sam helped me up and Brock picked up my books and put them on the shelf.

'Shit! He's gonna see my romance novels!' I thought as Brock inspected one of my novels.

Sam left once she knew I was okay, but Brock stayed and helped me put the books away.

"Thanks." I said after all of the books were on shelves.

"No problem, but can I ask you about this book?" he lifted up a romance novel I was reading on my way here.

"S-sure." I began to stammer because of the book and the boy.

"How'd you get a copy? This is a rare novel."

"Sam got it for me. She camped out for the night to get it." I adjusted my glasses and tucked some of my hair behind my ear. "She said that she wanted to get me something I'd cherish."

"I wish my friend would do something like that." he sighed and put the book down.

"I'm almost done reading it, and when I finish it, I'll let you read it." I offered.

"Okay. Do I have to get you something in return though?"

"Only if you want. I'll try to finish the book tonight and give it to you tomorrow."

"I think I have a book you'll like. But you can get it when I begin reading the book." he said as he left.

'Well, might as well stick to my word and finish the book tonight.' I thought as I picked up the book and sat on my bed to read it.
