Ankit and Lucky are heading to college together, and Lucky mentions that there's a sports event at college today. He encourages Ankit to participate in the running event, saying he could win.

Ankit: Did you participate in any sport?

Lucky: I signed up for football, but our team didn't make it to the finals.

Ankit: So, there will be two matches in the event?

Lucky: There are four sports in the event—football, running, boxing, and tennis. In football, there will be a final match between the college's top two teams. The running event is 4 km, with awards for the top three. The number of boxing matches depends on the participants; last time, there was only one match, with Tihan and Praveen in the final.

(While chatting, they reach the college, where all the students are dressed casually. Some have brought extra outfits. Students are discussing and giving their opinions about who might win in each sport. A few girls ask Ankit if he's participating in any sport, saying they'll cheer for him.)

Ankit: Sopane Sir registered me for a sport.

Meanwhile, the event announcement sounds, and all the students gather on the field. Principal Deshmukh gives a speech about the college's achievements, followed by Sopane's explanation of the sports event.

Sopane: This college sports event features four sports—football, running, boxing, and tennis. The tennis event is specifically for girls, and it will follow the first three sports. Girls can also participate in the first three events, but boys cannot join tennis. The first sport is football, with the final match between the college's top two teams. In the running event, we have 106 students participating, and in boxing, four students have signed up. Our college football final is between the Rising Stars and Eastern Cape.

(Ankit is on the Rising Stars team, and a student named Sabit, who is the team captain, brings him along to play.)

Football Match

The match begins, and all the teachers and students are cheering for their favorite players. Sabit asks Ankit, "Why did you choose football?"

Ankit: "I need to boost my marks by 18%."

Sabit: (Surprised) "You're doing all this just for that?"

Ankit: "Maybe, yes."

Sabit: "But for that, we have to win the match; only then will each player get a 6% mark boost."

(At the start of the match, the Eastern Cape captain, Manoj Saru, scores two goals, giving his team the lead. Manoj's fans start chanting his name. He then scores a third goal, strengthening Eastern Cape's lead even further. The captain of Rising Star, Sabit, gets worried and says to Ankit, "How do you like to play?" Ankit replies that he doesn't know how to play football very well, just a little bit. Meanwhile, another player scores, and Eastern Cape's lead becomes 4-0. With only 20 minutes left, Sabit feels frustrated and believes his team has lost. In anger, he kicks the football toward Ankit, who strikes it hard, sending it into the net, marking Rising Star's first goal. Sabit is amazed by the power of Ankit's shot and feels that, to win, he has to rely on Ankit.)

Soon after, Ankit scores another goal. Whenever the ball reaches Ankit's feet, it goes straight to the net. The players are astonished by the speed and strength of his kicks. Ankit stands 15 meters from the net with the football at his feet. He kicks it, but the opposing keeper intercepts. The ball hits the keeper's hand and still goes into the net, causing the keeper's fingers to swell despite wearing gloves.

The match enters its final 5 minutes, with Rising Star needing two goals to win or one to tie. Ankit scores a goal, bringing Rising Star and Eastern Cape to a tie. Ankit, positioned 42 meters from the net, delivers a powerful kick toward the goal. The force of his kick bursts the football, leaving everyone astonished. Sopen remarks, "One kick from him could knock out any professional fighter." A new football is brought in, and Ankit scores another goal, securing Rising Star's victory.

Running

During the football match, Ankit's shoes tear. Lucky offers him his shoes. The 106 participants for the running event line up, and everyone is surprised to see Ankit standing there. One of the teachers comments, "He just played football. How will he manage running? He should sit this one out for his health."

Sopen announces, "Due to the large number of participants, the race has been extended from 4 kilometers to 12 kilometers. To complete the race, you must go from Gerard Area, through the North Side, and back to the college. Our teachers and students will monitor you along the way." The whistle blows, and all students start running. Ankit initially jogs at a relaxed pace, but soon he picks up speed, quickly finishing the course and returning to the college. Teachers and students watching from the North Side road are amazed to see that no other participant is even close to Ankit.

One teacher asks, "Did you take a shortcut?" Sopen interjects, "He didn't take any shortcuts; this is his natural speed." Ankit has now won two events on his own, and the students and teachers begin praising him. Shortly after, the remaining participants arrive, and the boxing event is announced.
