Spatial beasts could live for a long time. Bai Li had been in the dimension where time sped up twice. Adding on to the two times she was in there, one would see that her age was already about 110 years old.

Of course, to any spatial beast species, a 110-year-old was still just a "child".

However, to humans, especially to S-tiers, she was definitely an adult now.

"So, now that you've grown, we can do something else."

"And what is this 'something else'?"

However, the moment he found the boy, Qin Feng also sensed something else. Bai Li, too, had sensed it as she raised her head and glared at the sky.

It was then, a crimson red meteor fell from the sky.

It was not some mere meteor too. It was a huge one. Too huge!

The meteor was merely their disguise to get close to the planet. When they left the meteor, these Insectoids' bodies got stronger and bigger.

If these monsters went on and attacked Omnesflores like this, it could very well wipe out the entire fleet of their defenses on their satellites on the planet's orbit.

"Calling the First Fleet! We are under attack! I repeat! We are under attack!"

"Requesting for shield activation. Quick! Those disgusting centipedes are coming!"

"Over! Request is granted!"

A loud machine-like voice could be heard throughout the city before a sphere of force field enveloped the entire continent. Countless cities on the planet were shielded by the same force field.

Meanwhile, the Insectoids had already fallen from the sky and were littered on the ground.

They were Bloodlust Centipedes. As soon as they landed, these creatures rushed straight to the force field and chomped onto it. As seconds went by, they were able to tear through and breach into the cities as they began their mindless slaughter on the local population.

Daybloom kept running and running. However, he was not fast enough—a Bloodlust Centipede had wriggled its way to him like the wind.

The Centipede was not even locking onto Daybloom. All it did was move on the streets and devour everything in its path.

This was the first time Daybloom could sense his own mortality.

"Aahhh!"

Daybloom screamed out in horror as he tripped and fell onto the ground.

Seeing that its prey had stopped moving, the Bloodlust Centipede wriggled to the poor boy excitedly.

Daybloom felt that he should close his eyes to avoid looking at the countless moving insect legs, or the terrifying jaw…

But he was so terrified that he could not move even his eyelids.

Then, in a daze, the boy saw them. The generous man, who bought his flower a few weeks ago, and his beautiful girlfriend…

Chapter 989: Laboring for the Seeds

Daybloom was not mistaken.

Qin Feng and Bai Li had teleported in front of Daybloom when the giant Bloodlust Centipede was flaunting its maw ready to chomp down.

They then ignored them and began to set up their weapons.

A few of them were suited up in a ten-meter-high mecha. They launched to the sky and opened fire toward the centipedes on the ground.

Qin Feng was not interested and turned to Daybloom. "The gold roses that you sold to us earlier are very beautiful. Do you still have its seeds?"

Daybloom was baffled. He would never expect that to be the first question coming out of his savior's mouth. 'Why does he still care so much about the flower in this situation?'

"I still have it in my house."

"Then, please sell them to me. Of course, you can keep some for yourself." The kid could be awakened anytime, or not at all. The gold rose might be his only means of living before that. Qin Feng had no intention of taking everything away.

Bai Li followed his finger and nodded. Then, in a flash, the three of them promptly disappeared from the rooftop.

Those soldiers eyeing them were staring into empty space now. They did not even realize how or where they had disappeared to.

"Do we need to report this? The S-tier elect could perhaps help us take care of the beasts outside the city."

"These are only C-tier beasts. I feel that the S-tier is not very enthused."

Most of them responded enthusiastically.

The few who did not were, no doubt, tourists.

It seemed like he was going to have to wait for a while before going back to Bahamut.

At this time, the broodmother's aura was getting weaker and weaker, and every time its body struggled there would be nothing but sharp pain and it did not dare move.
