Chapter 4: Meeting mother and father.

I am currently walking with rina who is quite clingy to my arm. We are walking towards her dormitory where she is staying. She didn't tell me anything. Just told me that....

"Just shut up and follow me"

And me. A man in love with her? How can I say no. Well here we are walking while being stared at from random ass people who have nothing to do. Some of them are gossiping about us. Some are looking broken from the inside. Dude I understand you. But.....

Why the silence!!!!??? Think Jin think . You can't just sit here and say nothing. Hm...ah!

"Say rina what is your favorite genre?" I asked trying to break the ice.

"Oh! I like mystery and crime. What about you?" she asked me.

Hm....now that I think about it. I never had any certain genre in favorite. I just read whatever pops when I am scrolling through a red app which has a video looking button.

"For me it's action. But I thought that girls liked romantic genre the most ?" I asked her because I thought girls liked romantic story. Like when you meet your school crush or those Chinese comic's where the emperor is in love with a uneducated girl or a handsome man is in love with someone he doesn't like. Wait! That's a japanes comic, isn't it? Yeah it is.

"Well....I actually don't like romance story's. " she said. Hm.

"why?" I asked her while raising my eyebrows.

"well those who read romance novel, story or comic are just the the type of people imagine themselves in the place of main protagonist. " she said.

Hey! I may like action but I read romance novel or comic as well!! What about all those people who are kicking their feet while reading a romance story? Giggling while the watching main characters saying I love you or reading or maybe watching some type of romantic or wholesome scene. Some maybe under the blankets while reading those things. So she shouldn't insult all those people. That's in the same level of attacking a certain part of human beings.

But who will tell her? I can't. Why? I don't want to. Reason being that I might embarrass myself. Like the time I did when I was almost naked....well maybe that's for next time. I.....would rather not talk about it....

While I was in my thoughts I realized that we are Infront of rina's dormitory. And its look nothing like a dormitory. Is she that rich?

Currently we are Infront of a huge house. Which in no way or shape is a dormitory. It looks more like a condominium. Though both dormitory and condo share Share blue print.

We went inside and I noticed that there were many people inside. The condo contains at from outside 10 window while it seems it has 5 doors. It was a 4 floor apartment.

That means 40 window and 20 doors. Both of us entered her room.

"well~" she looked at m while smiling in a unusual way..... I was in unable to understand.

"This is the first time in a woman's roo,right~" she said in quite the voice.

As my eyes went towards Rina, I cannot help but notice the seductive sound of her voice as she speaks to me. Her voice is low and rich, like liquid silk. It whispers sweet nothings in your ear and makes you feel as if you are the only one in the room. Which is the case.As she speaks to me, I feel myself being drawn in by her voice, unable to resist its lure. Her seductive voice is like a siren's call, tempting me to get closer and closer to her. I feel my heart beating faster with each word, and you cannot stop yourself from being caught up in her spell.

It's NNN you must resist! I looked at her.

"sorry but not today." I said to her.

"Oh! That's sad" she said but I suddenly started to hear clapping sounds coming from outside. Huh!

I looked back and saw a man in his mid 40s and a woman in her mid or end of 30s. If I were to guess correctly then the woman might be 35-39 and the man being 46-47 something in between. The woman had gray hair which I am not sure if is because of old age and green eyes. And the man beside her had blue hair and blue eyes. If I were to compare both this man and rina then I can say that the 2 of them would look pretty much same. The woman wore an elegant dress. It was BLACK ELEGANCE

It took only 3 second's to recognize everything they are wearing. Because last time i was tested with my fashion sense which was really bad. But did I forgot to mention that Rina is from a rich family? They are pretty rich.

What they eat and what they do...are completely different from the world I live in. Not until I found a job they wouldn't give me permission to marry rina. Well it doesn't matter here cuz I now have most of the qualifications that is needed to marry rina except the money part.

"so you are the man who ri-chan always talks about huh?" I heard the woman speak. Oh! Her name was.... Nonohara shiki. The man is Nonohara ryoma.

"Yes mom" Rina answered.

"well it seems he got good looks and also his background is not bad as well. So what do you say dear shall we give them permission?" miss shiki said to her husband who looked at me as if scanning me like how I scanned his background before coming here. Cuz why not?

"Yes but we can't tell if he is truly fit to protect my daughter. " he said looking at me. Hm what does he mean? This isn't something that happened in the past.

"sir may I ask why I am not fit for her?" I asked him politely.

"As I can see you're academically and physically capable but as you might know not everything depends on academic" hey! That wasn't something he said. What happened?

"so to test you I will be giving you this" he gave a blue file.

"Mom Dad why not come inside? Let's talk about it inside. " Rian suggested and it seemed it worked but why is he giving me this file? He didn't give me anything like this? All he did was tell me to get my ass out of here. Or his house where I went to ask for rinas hand which was as idiotic as it can get.

All of us took our seat in the living room. Again how in the hell does a dorm can have a living room? I lived in one before but it didn't have one. Well to answer my own question they are rich as simple as that.

"That file in your hand.." Mr. Ryoma said while pointing towards the file in my hand

"Is about a murder case" he simply said as I looked at the file. What the! I opened the file and read the content's in it. It seemed it's a murder case about someone who's name is Javi Leonard.

"you are going to solve it--" he said. As I was going to speak about how he continued.

"And about the authority. I already told them that my son-in-law will do it. " Oi! What's up with this old man Infront of me?So I have to solve this case when I am not an official detective. And he is grinning. Wow that's new.

"sir even if I am your son-in-law you have to understand that the law won't permit it. I won't be able to as questions to the people related to the victim. Also sir please think about it. Why would they trust a 19 year old college student who just started his first year today? Can you answer that?" I asked him.

"Also sir it seems like the victim lives in London. So how in the world will I go there?" i finished.

"No detective is trusted easily. He have to gain that trust. So you have to do it yourself. And about going to London it's already set" He said while showing me a passport and visa."And about college you can study there if you want or contact with rina to tell you the assignment that is given in the collage. And about the law you will be my sidekick. " he finished.

"But is it really ok?" miss shiki asked.

Please tell this old man that it's not.

"well if he is so capable he should at least do it." Oh! Right I forget that in the future rina become's a part time detective. Yes the word part time and detective can work together.

Also her father is one as well. So I guess me forgetting this clip of information is something I shouldn't do.

"But dad! He can't!" rina I don't know if you want to stand by my side or push me away. You saying that make me both happy and pitiful.

"if he can't then there wouldn't be any problem. Just give me that file and forget about rina." Mr.ryoma said. What!No way. I think I might act like a loser her accepting this condition but in others eyes. I can't lose rina in again.

"Bu-"

"rina! It's ok" I said to her and then looked at Mr. Ryoma.

"ok sir I accept this challenge. " he grins and he offers his hand to me.

"Well then I will have high hope for you" he said as he stood up from his seat and have me the passport and visa.

"well dear let's go" he said to Mrs.shiki.she nodded her head.

"Take care both of you" she said as the 2 of them walk outside of the room.

"Just why?" she started wining like a brat.

"Well we can't have something if we don't pursue for it or work hard for it. So I will be in your care about the assignments then. " I said to Rina. She looked at me. She suddenly jumped on me and kissed me in the lips.

"ok take care" she said as she released me.

I thought meeting mother and father will turn out right. But I guess it not peaceful. Hey since when did my life become one with peace anyway.

I thought to myself as I got outside of the room and walk to my home.
