Cold Iron AFP

Well, here I am setting in class in Gotham like normal, bored as hell waiting for the bell to ring. I remember when I transferred schools in the winter, snow was everywhere but it wasn't cold for some reason. The person next to me was this black-haired kid from the hill a bit out of town. He seemed to be up to something and I was curious about it. " Hey Jake, why are you watching the window you should be listening to me." The teacher said trying to scold me in front of everyone, I was in college now and I was at the top of my class. I was trying to become a detective and to get that done was to take these sad classes.

I was from the midwest and dreamed of catching bad guys since I was little, we all had those dreams once or twice. My favorite Hero was Superman and Batman, so molded my being to them by doing what I could. In high school, I was on the disciplinary committee, and I took a book on how to be a detective. It was a long haul but I made enough credits to move and I enjoyed my time here, most of the time. My parents never really liked my choice of what I wanted to be, said things like, "It's dangerous work, you could get murdered by a supervillain."

I had a small apartment near the police station and some night I could see my favorite hero

Batman is on the roof of the station talking to the commissioner. I would stay up late some nights just to see if he was driving by or to see that Batgirl running around. (Ring, ring) My phone started to ring and it was the number of a police station. I answered it and It was Gotham PD, They were telling me that my brother was Kidnapped while he was going to school. I dropped my phone and the whole class stared at me. The black-haired kid saw my face go from fear to anger, "Jake, what's wrong?" The guy asked me and I told him, "My brother was kidnapped when he was on his way to school."

The guy paused and then tried to stop me as I left the school, I was heading to my car and I was about to do something stupid. I had my brother living with me here in Gotham for school, so the first place I looked was the house. When I got there I saw they broke into the house and taken him, From what I saw from the scene that he was fighting back. The cops came by and saw me looking over everything, "Sir this is a crime scene, you can't touch anything!" They yelled at me from the car, I turned to them and I glared at them.

"This is my house and I'm doing something you aren't doing," I said as they got out of the car, they watched to me with pissed-off looks on their faces. "And What may that be, what aren't we doing?" I turned to the pile of crap on the ground, I ruffled through the crap and saw a joker playing card. "I found who has my brother, no thanks to you guys in fake badges." I got in my car and I drove off, I knew the locations of every Joker and Harley Quinn hideout. I stopped at each one and till I found them, They were outside the building hauling kids into a crate. I picked up a gun and I headed to the scene.

Back in my first week of coming to the city, I marked down every crime boss's territory I even bought a gun and body armor just in case Batman brought the fight to the streets. I put my armor on and I headed inside the building. I was trying to be sneaky but I guess I was being too loud, Harley saw me behind a crate. She throw her giant hammer at me but I dodged it and I shot at the Joker. I missed and was met with a fist to the face, but before I blacked out from the blow I saw my brother being taken away.

When I woke up I was upside down on a table looking right at a pool of something really cold. I looked forward and saw the Joker and Harley, they were getting ready to bump me into the pool. "How is it that you found my pudden and myself, are you some kind of hero or something?" Harley asked me and I looked at Joker, "You guys took my brother from my home, I came here to get him back. Also, It wasn't hard to find you if you keep going to the same spots over and over." I said t them and the joker laughed, "Well sorry you came all this way to see you're brother, as you can see he isn't here."

The Joker picked up my gun from the table next to him and aimed it at me, I closed my eyes, "Is he going to be sold for something stupid can you tell me that at least?" I pleaded to them and they looked at each other. I looked at them once more and saw Batman in the window, I then saw what looked like Robin with him. I smiled and Joker stopped laughing for a moment, just when he turned he was hit with Batman's fist. This was the time when I got myself free and dropped to the floor and not the pool.

Harley saw me get free and she then pulled Joker back and pressed a button she had in her pocket. I heard ticking behind me in the pool and I saw it was a bomb, "Batman get out there's a bomb!" I yelled and Batman threw his sidekick out of the building just when the whole place blew up in a cold explosion. Batman watched as the area began to freeze and instead of fire was a wall of Ice, in the wall I was there unconscious from the blast. Batman pulled out a device that can read life signs and saw I was still alive. "Attention league I need assistance in the north warehouse district I have a civilian in need of special care.

The first one to the scene was Superman and Cyborg, they saw my condition and carried me away still in the block of ice.
