28 chapter 28

Joe was going to work at 4:30 am and it was still pitch dark outside. He was walking with his huge lunch box draped over his solid shoulder. He traveling down the same path that walked for as long, as he had worked at the nearby factory.

He hears a woman's scream coming from a nearby alley.

Joe stops his walking and listens to see it was not just his imagination. He had once walked unto an orgy in an alley, because he heard a woman's scream. So he wanted to be sure that was not the case, before he walked unto the scene.

He then heard men's voices yell,"Shut up or we will kill you! Hoes need to do nothing, but moaning out of pleasure! Know your role and shut your mouth!"

Joe decided that it was truly time to act. He would not let anybody be harmed if he could help it. The huge man was the local hero in his neighborhood and he had earned that respect over the years, by helping all those he could in the ghetto from getting attack to simply helping them move around furniture. He felt that his huge body would be his gift to use to help others less fortunate than himself.

Joe lowers his deep freezer sized lunchbox and runs into the alley. He is appalled by what he sees.

Two thugs were mugging a woman in the attempt to assault her!

The two punks turned to see the mighty man and were taken back by his monolithic stature.

Joe had some serious street cred and rightfully so. This was due to his word being golden among the innocent of the nearby ghetto.

The man says,"Get your own, Mr. Big and leave us alone!"

The other thug laughed,"This &^%$# will be dead if you do her! Where is the money in that?"

Joe did not find any humor in the comment, nor did the victim ether.

The woman screamed,"Please mister help me! Do not let this happen to me!"

Joe nodded in agreement and begun to prepare for battle.

The two thugs were starting to sweat heavily by the thought of having to fight the tough Joe. The stories that followed around Joe were legendary in his ghetto, so the hood rats knew that they had to be extremely careful.

One of the two thugs yell,"Keep walking Big man! You didn't see anything! Mind your own business!"

The two had stopped the mugging of their victim, but they had a good hold on her. The two thugs were both scared stiff less of the giant and it was obvious to all that was involved. But, the two thugs were still all too full of bravado. Gangs looked down on cowardice and punished all that did not properly represent their gang.

Joe spoke,"Let the woman go or else! This doesn't have to become bloody!"

The two thugs forced a laugh as one of the thugs took sole control over the woman, while the other pulls out stacks of Rindats.

The remaining thugs throws the money at Joe's chest.

"Here is stacks upon stacks so get lost, already," boasted the thug.

The money bounces off the chest of Joe and lands at his feet.

Joe could not be bought off as he charges at the two thugs. He punches the thug who bribed him through a concrete wall. He was carefully to not kill or cripple the thug, but leave him useless for a few weeks.

The remaining thug grows afraid and fires six bullets into the chest of Joe before he had chance

to prepared himself.

Joe's head tilted back behind his back a couple feet as he stood stationary.

The woman cries out of sheer horror of a man being punched through a brick wall. The sheer showing of Joe's might caused her to grow afraid.

Then it finally comes to her, her only savior had been shot!

The woman cries,"Are you okay?"

The thug laughs at the woman's comment.

But that laughter soon ended as Joe's body stopped leaning back before his back hit the trash filled ground. He forces himself upright as nothing had happened. Joe then flexed the bullets out of his own chest.

The thug drops the gun to the ground out of everlasting terror.

The woman loses it too by the sight and stands still.

During the time Joe recovered himself, the thug put a knife to the woman's throat.

Joe had stopped in his course, as he did not know what to do. If he messed up the victim would be killed. Joe would not let any innocent blood be spilled.

The thug yelled,"Stop, before I ki..."

The young woman had enough and grabbed a brick before the attacker had managed to come back to his senses. She had the arm holding the brick behind the attacker as she broke the brick over the back of the thug's head.

The attacker lets go off his grip, as the lady runs away to safety.

While the woman was attacking the thug, Joe saw a metal pallet to the side of him. He lifts up above his head with ease and prepares to throw it at the foe.

The victim was now safe distance, so Joe flung the pallet at the stunned thug. The blow sends the thug flying though the remains of the red bricked wall.

He runs over to the woman to see if she was okay but he did not received his expected reaction.

The woman jumps and slaps Joe right in his face. He was not harmed by the woman's blow but was just surprised by her reaction. He did not expect her to run up and give him a kiss, but he was not

expecting a slap from her. The woman grabbed her hand and begins to blow on as a young child with a small cut.

She yells,"That hurts! I felt metal that was not as hard as that man's cheek. What is he made of?"
