Chapter 13- Zack's guilt

As Zack left the office, he drove around the city in silence, the hum of the engine barely cutting through the thoughts running wild in his mind.

When he reached the penthouse after a few hours, he tossed his keys on the table, exhaling heavily as he collapsed onto the couch.

He stared blankly at the skyline outside the large window. The world kept moving, but he felt stuck—trapped in the aftermath of a decision he wasn't sure he was ready for.

Just as he began to sink deeper into his thoughts, his phone buzzed in his pocket. The name "Zi" flashed across the screen.

Zack smirked slightly, knowing that with Rizelle aka Rizi aka Zi , it was impossible to stay too deep in his own head. She was the only one who could call him out on his bullshit without batting an eye.

"Hey," he greeted her, settling back into the couch.

"Zack!" Rizi's voice was vibrant as usual, but there was an undertone of concern. "What's going on? How did the meeting go?"
