Arc 2 : Chapter 4 : Mana??

My birthday came before the start of the new academic year. This year onwards I would be able to attend classes related to mana manipulation.

Mana? I felt a sense of Deja-vu when I looked at this name in the notice from my school. Wait a minute where did I hear that word again??

That's the same name used in various web novel. How could I forget this as an otaku? Just why is it that this happened to be the last of my memories coming back to me. Damn if I had this information I wouldn't even have to go through all the pain in collecting information about basic fundamental stuff governing this world.

Now finally I can learn about this world.

I looked into the notice.

{The government chose to give kids 3 years of time to get habituated to their abilities and how to control them. Starting from the coming year students will learn how their powers work.}

This would be very hard to learn because I didn't get 3 years like the rest.

My school started and I learnt many things about how mana is used as both for attacking as well as defending.

In the past 6 months since the new academic year started I could clearly realize how much of a disadvantage I had.

In a typical population there were two types of people.

1. Those who use mana and reach its peak for some time and later their mana falls down substantially.

2. Those who use mana and have a high endurance and stamina, so the mana persists for longer periods.

These two types are strictly for people with 1 mana core.

Unlike them I am the only being with 2 mana cores.

The first being my own and the other of my soul. Mine isn't powerful right now while my soul's is overwhelming yet it takes a lot of time to activate so I couldn't come at the top where people like Grant Nicolas mastered both reaching peak and maintaining it for long time.

So I trained to use my wits and gain control over my own power. I had to rely on my own rather than using my inner core.

So did I train, I trained day after day and went up in positions of power levels in my class.

There were many like Grant in this world so I had to become stronger than all of them in order to join an academy only for the most talented and whole-hearted students.

This academy made the students one of the most powerful people in the world and them being granted positions in the military.

Over the past 6 years since I gained my abilities I learnt that this world had 3 countries.

All the three countries lie within the same continent and ocean present everywhere outside the continent.

The continent is surrounded by a Dome shaped wall. A wall separating the rest of the world from us.

According to myths this wall has been covering this continent from 2000 years around the same time when people started acquiring abilities. There isn't much mentioned about its emergence as all signify that it appeared out of nowhere.

Research on its nature showed that it is mana itself!!

And on top of that the research is still ongoing. To talk about the kingdoms on the other hand,

One was the largest of all the Democratic Republic of Rhesus the country I live in and the kingdom Pandara which is in close ties with our country and the isolated doomed kingdom Migara which is now under the most frightening group ruled by an unknown entity.

Kingdom Migara is the only country with the least details and all I know is that trading is never done with either of the two countries Pandara and Rhesus.

This is why military is taking precocious steps to withstand a sudden attack.

This is where the academy comes to play by selecting the finest and purest individuals and train them to perfection.

In order to achieve my goal I had to gain control over my abilities and this is the best way to achieve that.

That's why I have to give my all during the test and I hope my training pays off.

My exams ended and so did my birthday pass by for reference now I am 15 and officially a valid applicant.

I have 3 months time before the academy starts its selections.

In my town it is hard to find places to train and also I am quite fortunate that there is railways connected to this place.

I went in to the forest and started training in the place I trained for 6 years.

Now I still was in second position in my class with Grant being first.

He was a talent that anyone would notice at first glance.

Grant is not willing to join the military rather he wants to stay in the city and live a peaceful life.

Now the only thing my outer core could master was gaining some stability and also my control over my outer core increased explosively.

I refined my own techniques in swordsmanship and practiced controlling the nature around me with my skills.

My agility is good too. Now all I hope for is to use my cores to proper use during the exam and I also should make sure to not let anyone take advantage of my weaknesses.

If only had my cores fused things wouldn't have been this troublesome.

The day finally came, tomorrow is the day of the test of my hard work and also my future.

I started packing my luggage and my father already bought a house for me to stay.

The bullet train departed and within an hour I reached the city.

A city with buildings soaring the skies.

Glasses reflecting light and glittering with dazzling beauty.

The greenery was so organized as if there was no weed misplaced in between.

The city of dreams "Oneiroi".

The strongest of the strongest and the most talented people shall compete and I was to outclass them all at one point so its....
