<p>As Alex looked over the little dog city as John talked with cam he couldn't help but think of the animal's importance alex knows almost all important things about the future one of them are animals where ever you will find animals there were no zombies as all animals tamed or not had an Instinct to avoid zombies like death they will be silent next to a zombie and try to run away no matter what type of animal it is it's like they faced this before and still have the instincts why he chose dogs over cats is fairly simple it's because cats are small although this is a bonus for it's own survival but not for Alex's survival he needed a big and strong dog that can alert of zombies help hunt ofcourse by buying every dog breed available that he could means that there are a lot of small dogs afterall dogs would also be emotional support pets another reason why he chose dogs is because of natural selection in the years to come dogs will become smaller and more cautious to the point that taming one will be impossible all the brave big breeds will die out while cats will stay the same afterall they are already small, fast and nimble it's very easy to escape zombies or hungry survivors wild animals were also in this situation but they lived in the wilderness there aren't much zombies and they have room to run away unlike in the city where if your a big dog and take a wrong turn that might be your end <br/><br/>As Alex was yet again thinking honestly surprised Alex's brain hasn't grown by now John and cam were chatting "so cam which dogs are you training for Alex's army" asked John full of curiosity "hmm we have dogs that can bring a zombie to the ground with a huge body and strong bite and we have German shepherds who have the best traits for military but I honestly don't think any of these breeds fit the bill for the world we will be living in so we are probably going to be doing selective breeding with the biggest and most powerful breeds luckily we can't breed like headless chickens because if they come out with health issues that's just a death sentence in a world where supplies are limited so it's going to be hard oh I got carried away for Alex's men we have German shepherds a lot of them have been got straight from the military as they have been retired" said cam extremely proud of his work while John had a doubtful face as he said "won't small agile dogs do better in this scenario?" As cam heard this he smiled at John disdainfully as Alex came up and put his hands on John shoulder and said "that would be ideal if we were only trying to survive but we are not only trying to survive we are trying to thrive and rebuild the world and do you really think we can survive if we just avoid the zombies?" <br/><br/>As Alex's words rang as both cam and John were trying to decipher the last part afterall they all believed they could survive if they just avoided the zombies but it seems it's not so simple "ofcourse these dogs are not only meant for zombies but for survivors afterall there is no law to bind them anymore they will do anything to survive" said Alex with a smile as this got cam and John more deep in there thoughts cam was doubtful that people can be so evil while John fully believed Alex and was even thinking that these dogs whenever they come out will be a must get for Alice "are the dogs ready cam" asked Alex as he wanted his men with some dogs as will boost their early detection of zombies and will guard the base against intruders "yeah about 90% of the dogs are still puppies but we got retired military German shepherds we should have enough and Alex we are severely understaffed taking care of almost 40,000 puppies is taking a toll on us all hands are on deck even the little kids have to take care of these puppies all day and night the small number of vets you probably kidnapped here are about to grow white hair even though non of them are past 30" said cam while laughing at the end while Alex just looked at him bitterly how could a righteous man like himself kidnap people he simply offered a million dollars to come here and take care of the dogs and there families must come and they jumped into the fire pit themselves <br/><br/>"Zzz…Myers this Alex..zzz"<br/>Myers who was still training the men was surprised but quickly responded<br/>"Zzz…this is myers commander..zzz" said myers to his radio as he waited for orders "Zzz….come to my coordinates with the mean leave 5 to guard the gate…zzz" hearing the coordinates myers first thoughts were to use the tactical watch they all have which has a gps but to myers embarrassment he didn't even know how to put in the coordinates so he just took out a map of the entire state of Wisconsin with coordinates and pin pointed the location myers quickly stopped the training and said "commander is ordering us up north it's not a long walk maybe 30 minutes get geared up incase we meet some corpses" said myers as the soldiers said "yes sir" and quickly got ready packing food and water into their bags and putting on they're gas masks and as soon as they finished getting ready they marched up north where a gate was but it wasn't guarded as it only lead to a dirt path in the middle of a forest, as the 300+ men marched on this path, Alex, john and 50 people young and old were sitting next to the gate of the reserve eating some food and talking with some occasional dog coming out the trees wagging its tail and licking them afterall the dogs had the whole reserve they weren't confined to just the lake </p>
