Ro's POV

"What's your name?" I asked him.

The boy in front of me is handsome. He looks like someone I know. Again, I can't get the words out of my tongue. Gosh. Hope this is the last day I will get to have words on the tip of my tongue. I've been meeting familiar people this day. I am really blessed with luck. Good luck, to be specific. Well, except for meeting the arrogant boy. Who does he think he is? Yes, I know that might be pretending to be my-once-a-friend, but I didn't expect him to humiliate me like this! I've made a bad impression on all of the students inside this room. I was already running earlier, but I found Lucas once again and he decided that he should get me a transportation to get me to Room 101-Golden Section. I didn't have time to argue with him so I agreed with him.

He hesitated for a moment, I think. He answered me, "I am Noir Spectrum. Nice to meet you, Ro."

"Nice to meet you too, Noir. Shall we perform and do our best?" I asked him since I can't wait to start and find out my level.

"Oh, yes," he replied.

"One of you will attack and the other will defend. After that, it's vice versa." Ms. Perida somehow cannot release the anger she is holding since this very morning I met her.

Both of us nodded. Noir asked who will be the attacker. I volunteered, and I moved to the left side of the stage while he to the opposite side. I became nervous to see a whole crowd looking at us. I will do my very best and make a nice impression on magic this time.

I shall recite another powerful spell of mine. However, this spell takes a lot of mana from me. Maybe I shouldn't do it? Be a surprise? Yet I need to do my best or the years that Father trained me will be wasted. I need to prove to him that I'm not just an orphan he picked up. I will do it. I took a deep breath and concentrated my mana power to sustain it's level. I faced my right palm to where Noir is standing, ready to defend. I said, "Clover Swords of Mishap!"

I couldn't see him with the sword heading towards to him that has a dark aura, but I could hear gasp in surprise and people murmuring and questioning each other bout what type of magic I use. I could also hear people being terrified of me. Did I made a wrong decision? It was supposed to make everyone impressed. Suddenly, Noir stated a spell of his own. Somehow, my heart became nervous of the magic he used. Did I knew him long ago? For a moment I thought that we are not on the same page and he is a lot more powerful than I am. And yep, my thoughts perceived me that I definetely know him because of his defending spell. I have seen that very same spell long ago. Who was he? He snapped his fingers and a rusty book appeared before his eyes. The pages flipped and the book's size grew. He declared, "Book of the Dead." It turned back into its normal size as soon my sword was swallowed whole. He snapped his fingers again and the book disappeared.

Noir's turn to attack was next. He immediately indicated, "Black Clover!" His piercing eyes targeted me. Clover. His magic is the same as mine? Now way. That can't happen, can it? Despite the same magic, we both have different casting spells used. I, on the other side, cannot use bad luck magic except for one time when I discovered that spell. I mostly use good luck spells, but it doesn't explain why I can use magic of misfortune. Maybe this guy can help me understand more about my magic. Perhaps he is connected to my past. This Noir clearly can only cast mishap spells.

I cannot use my Clover Berserk on this one since the spell doesn't have a life. I cannot use any of my major spells to defend myself. I was too persistent to use my only mishap spell. It used hald my mana power. Suddenly, I remembered that Father once taught me a spell that can defend me when my mana has little power. I can use it. That spell that Father taught me only takes little mana power yet powerful. He said that it is perfect for me since I use Luck Magic. Father told me that the same spell was taught to him by someone who was special to him. I wanted to meet that person since then.

"Code: Butterfly!" I whispered. I'm too weak. I must make myself stronger so I can use the mishap spell without taking much of my mana power.

Instantly, a small red butterfly appeared. It met the spell casted by Noir. The red butterfly absorbed all its power and it turned to black. The butterfly landed on my finger and turned into a ring. With this power, the butterfly absorbed, I pointed it back to him since I can't hold it for long. The spell reached back to him yet he quickly made it into a puff of smoke. As soon as the spell backfired to him, the butterfly disappeared.

"Congratulations. Both of you exerted a large amount of mana power enough to terrify everyone in this room," stated Ms. Perida. "Yet, I was amazed to both see you trained so well. This was my second time seeing Luck Magic. You two must be her descendants."

"Wow!" exclaimed one boy.

The others murmured while some couldn't believe it happening. I don't know exactly who Ms. Perida was talking about, but it surely took her anger away. I tried to ask her, but the old woman suddenly spoke out our Levels. "Both of you will be attending my Level 18 class."

"They sure are strong."

"They exerted that much power at thirteen."

"I wish I'm like them."

"I wish I was them."

Everone in this room were impressed. The exact faces I was hoping to see. I must've made Father proud. Perhaps the someone that Father mentioned to me was the same magi that Ms. Perida stated. There are many questions I want to be answered, but mostly, I want to know. Who am I?

Here I am, again! My next update will be on Saturday. I know it's a little longer but I hope you still stay tuned! Enjoy, and thank you very much for reading it!
