That same night, David was waiting at the door of Tory's workplace. When she came out, with the precision of a surgeon and the stealth of a ninja, David covered her mouth with one hand while grabbing her waist with the other, lifting her off the ground. Tory, being trained, reacted with a headbutt straight to David's chin.

"Alright, tigress, calm down! Sorry for doing that," David said as he let her go. Tory, at this apology, simply smiled before kicking him in the most sacred area for any man.

"I'll forgive you, idiot, but if you ever do that again, you won't get away with just one kick. Got it, dumbass?" Tory said, glaring at David, who was on the ground clutching himself.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I just wanted to see how you'd react to that kind of situation," David replied as he got up from the ground, awkwardly moving his right leg to make sure everything was still intact.

"Alright, as punishment, you'll carry me on your back to my house. Forward, my steed," Tory said, jumping onto David's back.

"I saw the new tournament rules. Let's make a bet: if I win my division, you'll let me help you, either with money or by helping you at home," David proposed.

"Fine, but if I win, I get to sleep at your house once a week," Tory responded with a defiant smile.

"Deal! We've got a bet," David said, agreeing.

After about 20 minutes of walking, they stopped at a 24/7 convenience store. David went in to grab some candy and juice and asked the clerk if he could use the restroom. The clerk gave him permission.

While picking up some juice, a tall man with silver hair walked up behind David.

"I recommend these juices. They're sugar-free and 100% natural," the man said, pointing to another brand.

"Yeah, I used to drink those, but even though they're natural, I prefer the ones with pulp," David replied, holding up an orange juice in his hand. "This brand is much better for that."

"Do you play any sports, kid?" the man asked.

"Yeah, I play basketball. Hoping to go pro," David said sarcastically.

"By the look of your ears, I thought you practiced a contact sport. Only fighters have ears like that," the man said, pointing at David's ears. "I know who you are. David Santos, right?"

"Me? My name's Pancho Fernández," David replied, faking a thick Mexican accent. "I think you've got the wrong person, sir."

"Ah, I see. Wrong person, huh? Tell Tory to show up early at the dojo tomorrow. We'll need to train harder for the tournament," the man said, pulling a business card out of his pocket. "If you want to learn real karate, come to Cobra Kai. Soon, it'll be the best dojo in the world."

David took the card and read it.

"Terry Silver, huh? I bet he dyes his hair to match his name," David said with a smirk.

Shortly after, Tory walked up to David with some bottles of milk in her hands.

"Alright, let's pay and head back. I don't want your mom killing me for getting you home late," Tory said.

"Alright," David replied as they both headed to the counter to pay.

Short chapter, I did it more than anything to introduce Silver in a different way than in the series, I feel that Silver is one of those characters that first tries to get close to you as a good person.
