Cabin Part I
I was in the back of the car with my friend, who kept singing the songs she played on her phone. Matt and Alex were talking about their jobs. I was happy to have them with me at this moment, I was calm for not being alone, but I was a little nervous to know what I was going to find out about my mother. I opened the car window and watched as we drove away from the city and into a landscape full of forest. I leaned against the window and got lost in my thoughts. I looked straight ahead and saw Matt focused on the road. I guess he felt my gaze and looked through the mirror to smile at me, I kept looking at him, and he shifted in his place nervously.
-Stop looking at him. - Said my friend as she whispered with a smile in my ear.
- Mmm? - I turned to look at her and sat back in my seat.
- Are you thinking of killing two birds with one stone? - She put her hand over her mouth in mock astonishment.
