Cloudy Memory

A story of a man named Koda who’s friend worked for what seemed like an ordinary testing site, actually hid some of the darkest secrets there were. mythical beings and deadly toxins. After a strange explosion Koda meets an unexpected friend. (Sorry if my chapters seem short. i’m coming up with this out of the blue. i would make it a comic but i don’t have the patience, but might if some people offered to help. i’m not good at motivation on too many drawings at once)

Chapter 3 ~ The beginning

It's been a few days now. I've managed to be able to pace the room a lot. I've been seeing a lot of people outside the window, but one has caught my eye. He's always dressed the same. Seems to be annoyed almost every time he passes by. Maybe he can feel me watching? The wolf man said we are in a world of mortals. normal humans. And that we can't use our magic. We must blend in. But, I thought I was pretty normal? Well, my white hair might give it away… And the wolf man said my dark blue eyes aren't normal… I will try to hide it then. A hat maybe? He left a few of those here.. Yeah, i'll try a hat on.

*After the next while, he tried on the hats with different outfits. He found only one combination that he liked the most.. the simple black beanie with a loose shirt and a jacket, topped with jeans and black shoes. As they don't get visibly dirty as easy as white ones. He looked proud of himself, smiling in the mirror. He then looks at the time and takes the note, leaving the apartment with all the lights off, closing the door, and taking a deep breath. It's the first time he did something on his own. Not sure how to feel, he exhales, and heads down to the elevator, letting the other people click the buttons. Thankfully, they went to the first floor. He followed, handing the key to the front desk like they did, and leaving. As he gets outside, he takes a deep breath. The first breath of the outside world. He had no idea who he was, or what he was for that fact. But he knew he blended in well enough for people not to stare. Until he tried to ask for directions of course.*

He got directions after a while to the train, and sat down with a small sigh. it was rather quiet there. the train started moving and it slowly started to put him to sleep. after a moment someone whispered to him.

"Hey, are you doing ok? You look a little pale." I look at him confused. But he only looks a little worried. So I just smile. "Yeah, just a little tired. I'm a little new here, and, i'm trying to find a specific place. My friend said there's a doctor i should see there." He looked confused. Almost like he didn't understand me.. "A doctor? down this way?" I smile and nod. "Yeah. one that is a lot more patient.." He looked skeptical at this point. "There's no doctor this way that i'm aware of.." "Well, my friend told me he was this way, so, I trust him." I look down, quietly sighing. I realize he's the one i've been seeing pass by the apartment. He's a lot more visual than I thought he would be.. I almost didn't even notice it was him. After the ride, I get off at the station it says on the paper, and follow the instructions. They were simple for me to follow, but everyone else seemed to be confused. Weird.. I make it down the street and he stops me, pulling me aside. "Are you sure you're ok? you're swaying as you walk, and you're pale." I look surprised, hesitating, before taking a step back. "I'm fine, honestly."

Before I knew it, it was dark. Quiet shouts of distress. But I was almost there, it was only a few doors down.. If he hadn't stopped me I would have made it. Why did he stop me of all people? I wasn't even ready to say hi to him yet..

It's quiet.

I may change the style i write in, writing with “” confuses me. and writing with <> for names is much easier for me to keep track with. Also, Moving time! tysm for 200+ reads!^^
