Bigger Monster

"So you're telling me that... The cloud meowed?" said a nerdy looking girl with oiled hair, appearance wise, everything about her spoke of someone who spend way too much time crafting and studying in her closed unbreathable room, instead of going out,

but Khadija defied the stereotypes,

She was Isra's bestfriend, they were a unique pair where the former was pure blend of monstrosity and executions and the latter was the one you'd call for the gadgets and schemes, together they were the perfect team of mayhem.

Isra was sitting by the window, relaxing and messing up a yarn of wool.

"Yes, it meowed," she replied.

"Hmm," responded Khadija.

"So... what was it like?"

"Like a meow," Isra replied.

Khadija's right eye twitched as she moved closer to Isra and looked at her sympathetically.

"Isra, look at me. Clouds can't talk."

"Yes, they can,"

"No, they can't."

"I'll show you, Khadija. It threatened me. Why do you think I am hiding in your house? It probably already knows where I live. It will come and finish the job. Now that I've told you everything, I need to plan my next move, Khadija. The cloud will not give up," said Isra.

Khadija's eye twitched again as she sighed in resignation.

"Okay, so what do you need?" asked Khadija.

"Listen. Come close. We will capture him," Isra declared. As the shadows around them grew darker and the room reeked of a sinister plan forming, the world outside thundered, illuminating Isra's maniac yet innocent face in Khadija's goggles. As the flowers cried by the window, the wind peeked in to get a glimpse of this horrible plan they were making.

"Okay, I'll get the flowers," said Khadija.

"Okay, I'll get the vaccume" Isra replied.

They nodded at each other. Usually, Khadija would contest, slap, but she would get on track. She was a loyal soldier above everything else, stuck in the devious yet evil plans of Isra. She couldn't help being the foot soldier, and Isra was the field commander.

So they started working, like they had failed before countless times. They were absolutely going to fail again. Or maybe not. Usually, they would both get distracted and bored within the mid-plan and end up in dire trouble, but maybe not this time. Isra was committed. She was not letting that cloud go after getting a taste of that cotton candy.

It was unclear who was the bigger monster here – the cloud that had threatened her or Isra.

Again, the inital length of chapters in this series will be short. This is to accomodate everyone including people who are becoming new readers. Thankyou for reading and supporting! <3
