Three forces dominated 'Revival Legend' in the United States: The U.S. Government, the Holdridge Group covering the US east coast, and the Shaipe Group covering the US west coast.

Among them, the Holdridge Group was archaic and established a thorough hierarchy with its major players consisting of those who were wealthy and from powerful families. On the other hand, Shaipe had a rather liberal atmosphere because its major players were the nouveau riche. They were based in California in the US west coast.

Each group had many different factions, who formed and dissolved alliances with each other according to their interests.

Edwin, who had been alienated from the core of the Shaipe Group as a result of this infighting, always longed to return to its core.
