Chapter Five:- Cyrus Scott
Audrey and Claudia walked into the restaurant like normal persons, flinging their hair which caused many eyes to be on them. The restaurant had few guests which made it easy for anyone to get distracted when the door was opened.
The clicking of the heels, the powerful breeze that sent shivers down their spine when they set their eyes on the two diamonds that walked into the restaurant that moment.
The jaws of men were dropped down while those drinking wine had indigestion because of what captivated their eyes. Audrey and Claudia made a quite dramatic entry that made eyes see them.
Well, they weren't suspicious of them instead, they wondered if they were both a kind of creature that landed on planet Earth.
"What's with those looks?" Audrey asked, beginning to feel uncomfortable by the constant stares of men in the restaurant.
"Let's just play along. Even, Mr. Vicious is staring at you" Claudia noticed that ever since they entered the restaurant, Mr. Vicious had been staring at Audrey non-stop. It was as if he was bewitched to keep staring at her all his life.
" Who's Mr. Vicious? Where is he? " Audrey looked around, trying to find where he was even if he was just a meter away from her.
" He is the person we came here to spy on. Don't search around, just look behind me" Audrey adjusted her glasses and did as she was told. Her eyes were instantly connected to the grey eyes that had been watching her.
She couldn't fathom what this feeling was but something was drawing her to keep staring even if she was forcing herself not to.
"I've seen him" Her voice sounded weak as she pulled away with force.
"Is his name Mr. Vicious? Is that a name?" Audrey asked, curious to know what his real was.
"I don't know" Claudia answered.
"What's his name, Chelsea?" Audrey placed a finger at the ear pod, connecting with Chelsea.
" Cyrus. Cyrus Scort. He is named Vicious because of his upright ways which I doubt" Chelsea sarcastically said from the other end.
" Cyrus" She pronounced it familiarly, moving her gaze back to him.
Cyrus just ended his meeting with the CEO of Winners Hotel. After exchanging pleasantries, he walked towards the table where Audrey and Claudia were sitting.
Claudia's heart skipped a bit when he approached them thinking they had done something to warrant attention.
Audrey bowed her head when she saw him approaching them. She could feel her heart racing as he walked nearer.
"You were staring at me earlier... why are you feeling shy all of a sudden?" Cyrus's gentle voice sent shivers down Audrey's spine.
Perhaps Jonathan was right. Why would he have anything to do with the murder case? He looks too gentle and handsome to play such dirty games or was it his looks that was playing games with her?
Audrey felt this feeling strange because it was something she had never felt since she became an adult.
"Excuse me, sir?" Claudia asked, unsure of what he meant until she saw the look on Audrey's face.
Audrey immediately gripped herself together, not letting this weird feeling get the best of her. For the first time in her life, she felt like a woman who was ready to love but now wasn't the time.
"I'm Cyrus" Cyrus stretched his hand over to Audrey, waiting for her to receive it. Audrey sighed, pulling herself together and received his hands., "I'm Audrey," She said and the man smiled.
"Well, I haven't seen you here before. I'm always a regular customer here and it's wonderful to see a damsel at a place like this" He said with a smile that revealed his dainty white teeth.
Claudia tucked her hair behind her ear trying to process what was going on. It was complicated to her because the Audrey she knew was never to type to fall for men's beauty or the type that becomes short of words. What happened?
