“Yeah. You and me. We met through a mutual friend who’s filming a movie abroad. You took me to see a Cirque du Soleil show on our first date.”
“Oh…” Harris was catching on. “I did, huh? Wow. Okay. So, how long have webeen together? Remind me. You know how bad I am with remembering anniversaries, darling.”
Pallas laughed and his laughter was pure, almost childlike. “We met, um, three months ago. We haven’t had our first real anniversary yet.”
“And when did we meet exactly?”
“Give me a date in April you can easily remember.”
“That’s easy. April Fool’s day.”
“So then that’s when we officially started dating.”
“But I didn’t tell my closest friends about you? Didn’t mention you at all? That sounds a little out of character for me.”
“Well, maybe you wanted to enjoy our new romance without interference.”
Harris was having fun with this. “Okay…maybe. And of course, now you’re madly in love with me, while I’m not too sure if I’m ready to commit.”
