Death is what we think best.

5 years later...

If I died today would I be proud of the life I lived?

Death… It's the one thing that puts everything else into perspective.

Thinking about your own death, can be the best thing you can do for your LIFE… and how you LIVE that life before you die… Why? Because it forces you to reflect on some very important questions…

If I die tomorrow…Was I happy? Would I be proud of the person I have become?

Did I do my best? Did I really push myself to my very limit?

Thinking about your own death forces you to self- examine your life… and gives you the opportunity to take responsibility for that life… for all the areas you have not been at your best, and therefore the opportunity to decide to do better from this moment forward.

That's why I think the lingering scythe in our neck motivates us, inspires us, to do things beyond our limit.

Because I myself experienced it. The looming fear of being weak, the fear of not keeping up with my favorite characters.

That's what pushed me to break my limits and surpass that of a normal human being.

Kōdo Ikusei Kōto Gakkō.

That's where my stage of my life will brighten the shinest. It's the place that will put me in the spotlight and the darkest abyss.

It's where I put myself into a test of how I can keep up with the charac- no, the people whom I'm very knowledgeable of.

Here I come, my dear audiences.

Ayanokoji POV:

If I may, I'd like to pose an interesting question: "Are all human beings truly equal?" These days everywhere you go there's a talk about a fight for equality.

As a wise man once said, "Heaven does not create one person above or below another." People like to throw these words around. That's not the whole quote. It goes on to say that "... while we are all equal at birth, pretty soon, things begin to change. The academics and efforts are what set some people apart to rise above others."

At any rate, humans change over time based on their actions. Truth be told, at the end of the day, equality is just a fantasy. And most of us go through life denying the fact that we live in a meritocracy.

Humans are capable of thinking for themselves. "Equality" may be a false concept, but our inequality remains a difficult thing to accept.

"Excuse me but you're blocking the way out, Mr..?" said a boy from behind.

'I didn't even notice his presence. Interesting, maybe this school isn't as simple as i thought.' Ayanokoji says in his head.

3rd POV:

"Uh... I'm sorry you can go now. By the way, my name is Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. Nice to meet you, Mr...?" Ayanokoji introduced himself.

Ayanokoji observed the boy that called him. He had the appearance of a young man with short black hair and eyes that resonate with the abyss.

The boy also secretly observed him. His gaze was that of an omniscient being that knows all knowledge that a mortal must not know.

Of course, it could be an illusion caused by an imaginative and delusional mind but that was not the case with Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

"My name is Aketsu Kanata but you can just call me Kanata. I don't mind the small inconveniences." said the now identified boy, Aketsu.

"You can also call me Kiyotaka if you want, uh... Kanata." awkwardly said by Kiyotaka.

"By the way, Kiyotaka, What class are you in?" smilingly said by Kanata.

Surprisingly, Kanata asked a very specific question. If an normal human we're to ask this question, he will probably take it as an normal question.

But the circumstances are different, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka is not your average joe than you can find anywhere.

"I'm supposed to be in... Class D. Why? Is there something wrong?" curiously questioned by Kiyotaka.

"No no, It's just I'm very curious. I'm in Class A by the way."

As they were talking someone called on them.

Black haired girl with red piercing eyes. Anyone would definitely call her a cold beauty.

"Hey, you! I noticed you staring at me on the bus earlier. Why was that?"

"Hm? Did you know her, Kiyotaka?" questioningly said by Kanata.

"No.." blankly said by the inconspicuous boy.

"Hey! Don't Ignore me!" said by the rude but stunningly beautiful girl.

"Are you talking to me or him?" said by the confused but not really, Kanata.

"Of course, it's him." straightly said by the black haired girl.

Ignoring the pitiful boy, she ask again,

"I'll ask again, I noticed you staring at me on the bus earlier. Why was that?"

'She's not beating around the bush, I guess...'

"Oh. I'm sorry. I was just curious, cause, well, you didn't want to give up your seat either. I was wondering if like me you'd rather stay out of it."

"I'm nothing like you. In my case, I stayed silent as a matter of principle." said by the now labeled as the rude & indifferent girl.

'Uh-huh, that makes her worse than me.'

Before Kiyotaka finishes his monologue, someone butted their way in the conversation without permission. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?

"Well, doesn't that just makes you much worse than him?" butted Kanata.

"What do you mean?" questioned by the girl while glaring at him.

"You've done nothing even If there's a bad situation happening in front of you, that's just makes you the scum of society, isn't it?" said Kanata while narrowing his eyes at the girl.

"It's none of your business whether I want to do something or not." the girl said and walked away.

"*sigh* What a rude girl. It's just the first day and there's people like this. I can feel that this school has lots of problematic students." said the tired boy with a sigh.

"Well, it's just the first day. Maybe there's also a alot of good guys here."

'If only you know, buddy. If only you know...' said by Kanata while pitying the boy in front of him.

"There's a long way to go till you recognize how you're so dumb at this moment, Kiyotaka." Kanata muttered under his breath.
