46 You Calculated Everything!

Chapter 46: You Calculated Everything!

Due to Yuto's unpredictable dribbling, Nagumo Miyabi could only attempt to block him by jumping left and right, but such actions consumed a lot of his physical strength and stamina.

Now, internally, Nagumo was crying out in frustration.

The one-on-one two-person basketball match was really draining his stamina.

Yuto, with the ball in possession, glanced at the rapidly panting vice president and showed a faint, barely visible smile, then made a move as if he was about to break through.

Nagumo Miyabi, with his nerves on edge, immediately thought Yuto intended to dribble past him from the left, so he quickly exerted force in his legs, trying to block to his left.

However, this was just a feint by Yuto, who executed a beautiful fake move, changing the direction of his dribble, and breaking through from Nagumo Miyabi's right side.

"Damn it, it was a feint! I've been tricked!"

Realizing it was Yuto's fake move, Nagumo hurriedly tried to defend.

But the sudden change in direction caught him off guard, causing his ankle to give out, resulting in a twist.

"Ah!"

Nagumo Miyabi, who sprained his ankle, fell to the ground, while Yuto, having breezed past his defense, made a light jump shot, and the basketball once again passed through the hoop.

Members of the basketball club saw Nagumo Miyabi falter and fall to the ground because of Yuto's dribbling and cheered in disbelief.

"Wow, this freshman is amazing; he actually shook Nagumo off!"

"Yeah, and look at Nagumo's expression – it seems like he didn't just fall; he sprained his ankle too!"

"Really, look!"

In basketball matches, many players twist their ankles due to forcefully changing direction, using excessive force, fatigue, and other factors.

Clearly, now lying on the basketball court, clutching his left foot with a pale face, Nagumo Miyabi had indeed sprained his left foot.

Yuto looked down at the vice president sitting on the ground and chuckled lightly, "It seems there's no need to continue the match, right, vice president of the student council?"

With his foot twisted, there was no way Nagumo could play against Yuto.

Nagumo Miyabi was in no mood to respond to Yuto; he was desperately enduring the severe pain coming from his left ankle.

Coach Saito stopped the timer and quickly approached them, coming to Nagumo Miyabi's side.

"Nagumo, how are you feeling?" asked Coach Saito urgently.

"Very painful," Nagumo Miyabi, breaking out in a cold sweat from the pain, responded.

"Let me see."

After examining the injury, Coach Saito confirmed that Nagumo Miyabi had indeed sprained his ankle.

Fortunately, it wasn't severe, and Nagumo would recover after a few days of good rest.

"You need to rest. But, are we continuing our remaining matches, Vice President?"

Yuto said, squatting down and speaking to Nagumo Miyabi with a smiling face.

"Of course, we must continue! I lost this match, but there are still two more matches left. Give me a few days to rest..." Nagumo Miyabi responded immediately, his face pale from pain.

"Well, I would also like to give you a few days to recover, but that would be against our agreement."

"What do you mean, 'against the agreement'?!" Naguma asked with a glare.

"Well, vice president, have you forgotten what the third clause of our agreement was?" Yuto said with a smile.

Nagumo Miyabi paused slightly as he remembered something.

[Once the wager starts, no excuses for postponing the match or changing participants are allowed. Each event's rest time is ten minutes; exceeding this will be considered a forfeit.]

In other words, the match cannot be paused once it starts, or it would be considered as surrender and forfeit!

Recalling the third clause, Nagumo Miyabi's distress turned to outrage. "You planned this – for me to injure my foot – even before the contract was signed! You calculated everything!

Otherwise, why would Yuto include that third clause in the contract!

"Hehe, what are you talking about? It's like I expected you to twist your foot," Yuto chuckled.

"..." Nagumo Miyabi clenched his teeth; although he had no evidence, he believed it was so!

In fact... it was true; Nagumo Miyabi's guess was somewhat correct.

Yuto chose a two-player basketball match precisely thinking he could cause Nagumo to twist his ankle, thus securing a quick and direct victory.

And the arrogant vice president did not disappoint Yuto's expectation; he really did twist his ankle.

Coach Saito glanced at Chairman Sakayanagi, who was watching them, and then seriously said to Nagumo Miyabi, "Nagumo, everyone saw your match against Shimizu. He didn't push you, so your injury has nothing to do with him."

"Listen, even the referee you brought says so, so vice president, don't blame the reason for your injury on me," Yuto said with a grin.

"So, Nagumo Miyabi, are you planning to continue our bet, or choose to forfeit the remaining matches?"

"What other choice do I have!" Nagumo Miyabi said discontentedly to Yuto, his expression filled with frustration.

Even if he loses the basketball match, there were still the track and field race and the long jump competition, two sports events left, so Nagumo Miyabi felt he might not necessarily lose to Yuto if they continued the bet.

But now with his injured ankle, he couldn't possibly run the thousand-meter race or participate in the long jump!

So, the only option left for Nagumo Miyabi was to surrender.

"Then wait a moment; I'll go get my student terminal for you to transfer the points (money)." Yuto, still smiling, left the frustrated vice president and walked towards Chairman Sakayanagi.

Before starting the match, Yuto had handed his student terminal to Chairman Sakayanagi for safekeeping.

"Old man, my match with him is now over; give me my phone back, you can also take your leave now," Yuto said to Chairman Sakayanagi.

"Well, you're also coming with me; let's go somewhere and play chess."

"...Alright, alright," Yuto responded helplessly to the chess-addicted middle-aged man.

Without Chairman Sakayanagi presiding, Nagumo Miyabi and the PE teacher, Saito-sensei, might have caused some unpleasant incidents, so Yuto indeed had to thank him.

Moreover, Yuto had already earned a considerable amount of points today. So, he was not in a rush to earn more.

"Come to my office later; I will have a chessboard set up waiting for you," Chairman Sakayanagi instructed.

"Okay," Yuto nodded.

After hearing his agreement, the satisfied Chairman Sakayanagi left the basketball court, while Yuto, holding his student terminal, walked towards the injured vice president.

Nagumo Miyabi's lackeys, from somewhere, had brought a stretcher, and the vice president was sitting on it, one of the lackeys applying a wet towel to his sprained ankle.
