Creeping Creatures

The sound of the public address system echoed all over the school as students trooped out of classrooms in their numbers.

Elena could be seen running through the crowd of the students while glancing back frequently.

She was almost out when she bumped into someone.

"Hey, Elena Gomez" She heard the voice and paused to see the student.

It was the blonde girl who left the earlier, she was of an average height and had those aqua marine eyes that shewed innocence.

Elena exhaled heavily discovering that it wasn't Sarah.

"I'm Ta...."

"Tara Moon, I know you" Elena told her immediately.

"Yeah, do you have a minute?"

"No, I gotta go"

"You're running from Sarah, ain't you, I'm sorry for all that's happening to you, you don't deserve it"

"Now don't try to console me Tara, stay away from me else you'll be marked by the bully queen, I don't want anyone to suffer because of me"

"You have a big heart Elena, you're innocent but scared, your father is a Detective, why not tell him, huh?, you choose to leave in bondage"

"I'm done here"

Elena turned to leave but Tara held her back.

"I can help you, Elena"

"Stay away for me". She yelled and broke from Tara's grip.

The students watched her run out school premises and vanished into the midst of the crowd at the other end of the street.

Elena was running speedily between buildings when she bumped into Jackson who appeared out of nowhere.

She fell to the ground and crawled back in fear.

Hearing footsteps, she halt and raised her head to see Sarah marching toward her with stern face that caused veins to appear on her forehead.

"Sarah, I...."

She didn't finish her statement when a jaw breaking punch landed on her soft, innocent lips.

The woods was silent and deserted except for the noise made by the crickets, darkness covered the face of the earth and the moon could be seen clearly far above.

Soon the noise of vehicles could be heard and four black pickup trucks drove in with its shining bright headlight illuminating the place.

It came to halt and men armed with MP4 Sub-machine Guns jumped down from the cargo.

The doors pushed open and other men armed with G18 pistols got down.

They came to halt holding their weapons tightly when a Lamborghini drove in as well.

The doors slide open and they bowed seeing the young man in black coat who stepped down.

He wore a smile on his full beard face and his lips clasped a burning cigar together.

Spitting it out, he puffed smoke out of his mouth and exhaled.

"I can see you're all ready, to cleanse our city from the plague that had walked in, this was the duty of our fathers and we wouldn't fail too, not in our time, I thought the creatures of the night would stay put after the death of their Alpha but they keep creeping in and what do we do " He asked with a loud voice.

" We put them where they belong " The men chorused.

" That's right " He chuckled and clapped his hand.

" C'mon Comrades, Our unfailing informant revealed that they're here, find them and bring their body to me "

They held their weapons tightly and spread out into the darkness, one hand on their guns and the other holding torches that were stretched forward to brighten their path.

The men were moving stealthily when they suddenly heard a whoosh sound.

" Aha, do you smell that?, They're truly around, be on the watch"The young man who seem to be their leader warned and slowly pulled a pistol from the holster beside him.

They heard a loud growl and turned but it was too late as the last man behind got snatched by something that that seems invisible.

Something dropped in their midst and they direct their torch down to see the detached head of man.

"Bloody hell, fire!" The Leader roared and the men formed a circular perimeter immediately.

They opened fire into the darkness without caring to know if anything was around or not.

"Hold!" He commanded and they held their fire.

A sharp spear shot out of the darkness and stabbed the throat of a dark skinned brutally into the stem of a tree.

The men opened fire quickly at that direction and marched forward in unison except a chubby one who seem to be hearing something above.

He turned slowly hearing a soft growl and behold, he was face to face with a creature that had red eyes, hanging motionless on the branch of the tree, had the structure of a girl but he could see the sharp fangs like that of an animal.

He screamed out but she swung down already thrusting her feet straight into throat.

Pulling it out, her long sharp toe nails that was dripping with blood was made visible by the moon including her entire body.

Just a girl with fangs at the opposite ends of her mouth, her eyes were purely red like it had a source of illumination from within.

Hearing the scream, they men turned back immediately but she already pulled two cans that were strapped behind her and threw it into their midst.

They opened fire and she rolled to behind a tree immediately.

They fired endlessly at the tree when something fast came from behind and snatched one of the man away, his scream echoed loudly in the air but died down immediately.

That was when the men realized that the thrown cans were smoke grenade and they were covered in already thereby reducing their visibility.

The girl slide from behind the tree and shot straight into the smoke with a speed that cannot be explained.

She grabbed one of the men and forced her fangs into his face causing him to scream, there was confusion as they didn't know what was happening due to the smoke.

They opened fire at themselves in fear and dropped dead.

"Hold you idiots!" The leader screamed but they weren't ready to as they kept firing until they realized they were few left.

The smoke was dying off already and his eyes caught the girl who had grip one of the men against a tree.

"There!" He roared and fired two bullets to her back, she flung the man away and fell weakly against the tree.

He made to fire again but something pushed him hard from behind and he fell to the ground.

A teen girl with blue eyes and had fangs as well marched out of the darkness and gripped him by the shirt but stabbed a knife into her side.

She growled loudly and the men opened fire which she narrowly escaped by diving behind a close by tree.

They hurried quickly and surrounded the tree pointing the laser of their guns on her face.

The illumination in her blue eyes died off and became normal, she had an emerald green type of eyes.

"We got them, Boss " One of the men yelled as their leader marched toward them.

They had totally forgotten about the one with red eyes who was shot, she growled stretching her bones, the bullets dropped from her flesh and she pulled the two revolver in the holster behind her.

The men gave way for him to see the girl who was leaning against tree with a knife stuck at her side.

He slides a clip into his G18 and points it to her head but they all turned hearing the snap of a branch.

There was the red eyes girl marching forward with dual revolver stretched forward.

"Take cover!" He yelled but it was late as she opened fire accurately.

She seemed to be an expert as no bullet missed target, it sunk straight into the skull of men who made to flee.

The leader of the men was lucky to have hid quickly behind a rock.

Only one man was left, hiding behind the tree where the other girl was.

She pressed the trigger to fire at his exposed part but she was out of ammo.

He strafed out with his MP4 pointed at her to fire when a knife sunk into his throat.

It was the other girl, she had pulled it out while they were distracted.

Blood gushed from his neck as she dropped the body slowly.

Hearing a movement, she turned to see the leader of the men running into the darkness.

She made to follow but a hand held her back.

"Recover sister, there might be more out there"

She turned to see the eyes of the first girl whose true face was revealed now, it was the same stranger girl.

"It was Elvis"

"Killing him now is meaningless, we'll destroy all that his family had build up first, take everyone from him so he becomes the last man standing, we can't let him skip those pain"

"I agree with you but he saw your eyes, he'll certainly know it's a Nicholas, you got the alpha eyes of mother"

"And they'll level up against us, that's what we want sister, let him deliver the message of our return"

They heard groaning and turned to see an injured man crawling away

It was the person she had in her grip before she got shot.

She raised her revolver swiftly but the other girl held her hand.

"You bit his face, have you forgotten you're an Alpha?"

She inhaled heavily and moving toward the man, return the gun to her holster.

The other girl removed a syringe from her behind pocket and walking past her stabbed it into the throat of the man.

"We have to make sure he truly dies" She justified her action while pressing the content into the man body.

"That's right"

"You know I love the fact that you're a different Alpha who chooses to add a gun to her swag"

"It's for backup, sister"

"You proved that with your accurate shootout already, we're done here" She announced and pulled the syringe from the man who was coughing out blood and foaming at same time.

They watched life leave him slowly and soon he was one out of the many corpse that laid around.

Turning around, the two girls wore their hoods and marched into the darkness of the woods till they were out of sight.
