Azura got stacked on her feet, looking at the retreating figure of Abesselom. She couldn't believe the Enoch she knows will be able to leave her in an unknown place. She held her chest as she felt a sharp pain in her heart, and tears rolled down her checks.
All her hopes were shattered by the same person she trusted the most, the one who got her into the mess she was in, and the one she loved. She opened her mouth to speak but got choked on her cry as she dropped to her knees.
"Enoch, please don't go, we need to talk." She managed to say, but he was long gone. The pain in her chest started growing and she didn't know how to control it. She felt the hair on her body lifting to a stand and her hanny-gold hair, lifted from her shoulders as a bright light took over her body.
She looked like an angry goddess, ready to strike her offender. Her green eyes shorn brighter till it turned into a ray of green light amidst the white bright light that took over her body. She felt her body losing control of itself and she feared her anger might set in soon.
"Am not angry, am just sad. Am not angry am just sad." She kept mumbling the words like a mantra for courage. Few minutes later, the light disappeared from her body and she became weak and stressed, "Enoch, help me." she muttered weakly and her body fell to the cold floor as darkness took over her sight.
__________At the mansion in the forest.
"Why don't you just go, She's been calling you for a while now." Gideon said telepathically to Abesselom.
"And then what, lie to her again? I don't know what other lie to tell her that would make her want to stay." Abesselom said with a worried face.
" Then tell her the truth. Let her know she's the real Azura." Gideon replied.
" How? She's been blinded by the life she lived with me as Enoch, she's not even listening to her friend, how will she believe me?" Abesselom said angrily, shouting at Gideon, his pet.
"You don't need to shout on me, you know this is all your fault. Just go to her before something happens to her." Gideon shouted back in his head.
" Okay! Stop behaving like my father because you're not." Abesselom retaliated and change his appearance back to Enoch again.
" I don't even want to be the father of a devil who's also a lier." Gideon said and took off before Abesselom could say anything.
" I like you too, even though you are really annoying." Abesselom shouted after Gideon before disappearing from his room
He reappeared in his favorite room in the Abess inn and found Azura laying on the floor. He rushed to her and checked her pulse, and the angry expression on his face changed to worry. "How stubborn, You should have just left instead of staying here to cry." He commented and carried her into his arms and disappeared.
__________ Czarina Palace.
Azura waked up from her sleep with an unbearable headache, which wouldn't allow her open her eyes. She felt her surrounding was brighter than it should be, and her head ached when she tried to open her eyes. "who's there?" She asked, not knowing where she was.
"Your Majesty, we are all here." Lucia answered calmly.
"Please close the curtains, the room is too bright." She said and her ladies exchanged surprised look.
"But Your Majesty, it night already and the room is dark. The wooden torches are even less." Lucia said worriedly.
" What? But how? Did I sleep the whole day? Was I dreaming?" Azura asked as she forced her eyes open. She noticed the room was indeed dark due to the night and she looked at her dress in confusion. "So I wasn't dreaming, how did I get here then?" She asked herself when she noticed she was still in Lora's outfit. "Where's Lora?" she asked.
"She rushed to the kitchen when we saw you waking up." Lucia answered. Just then, Lora came back running with a tray of many things in her hands.
"Your Majesty, are you okay? Please take this medicine, I made a light soup for you and this too..... " Lora kept talking, instructing Azura on what to do, telling her what she brought with her.
" Thank you Lora." Azura said and Lora stopped talking to look at her. "You all can go and do your work." She said to the others and they left, leaving Lora and Azura alone.
" Your Majesty, what happened to you? You scared me." Lora said immediately the others left.
"Even I don't know, but I think I got some memories of things I don't remember doing." Azura said, not understanding anything.
" Can you tell me? Maybe I can help." Lora said.
" First tell me how I got back, and why I slept through the day." Azura prompt her.
" The man you went to see brought you home. You were sleeping and he asked me not to let anyone wake you until you do yourself." Lora said.
" So he still cares for me." Azura muttered softly.
" Your Majesty, can you tell me now?" Lora asked anxiously.
"I saw myself talking to a young guy who was the same age as me, in a blacksmith shop. We looked about fourteen years or something like that, and I think I felt comfortable with him." Azura said and Lora started smiling.
" Your Majesty, he's the guy you kept sneaking to meet out of the palace. I think he's Chesa's father as well." Lora said with a smile.
" But how can I see that if am not the real Azura?" Azura asked.
" I don't know how to explain it to you, but I can vouch you are the real Azura." Lora said convincingly.
Azura kept thinking and didn't know what to believe. On one hand, Lora was saying she was the real Azura, and on the other hand, the only person who knows about the other life she remembers wasn't ready to help her. She had no idea where to get help from.
"Would you like to meet your stepmother? The first wife of King Nephai, She's the best person to help you remember your life here." Lora said, interrupting Azura from her thoughts.
" Who's she? Why haven't I heard of her? Azura asked with a confused look.
" Your Majesty, speaking about her is just like speaking about your parents, that's why." Lora said with her head bowed.
" That reminds me, you promised to tell me about my parents, so why don't you use this opportunity." Azura said.
" Lady Douglacia is a mage, she was a princess from Nimoland Kingdom and got married to His Majesty King Nephai. The people of this kingdom didn't respect her much because she didn't birth a child for the king. She forced her husband into marring Queen Mahalia your mother, who was a princess from this kingdom, and she became the queen after she gave birth to you.
She left the palace days before the King and queen passed away, and she never came back. But she's still in this kingdom but in a different town. With her knowledge and mage talents, she helps people know what they seek."
Lora talked at length, but just few of her words staked in Azura's head. " Do you mean my parents were siblings? How can a prince and a princess of the same land get married." She asked with shock.
" Yes Your Majesty, they were the children of the past king and queen before them. Queen Mahalia was to marry a prince from another land, but she didn't want to. Lady Douglacia foreseen their future and made them get married, since insert isn't forbidden in the kingdom." Lora explained to Azura.
" So am a product of an insert." Azura mumble, feeling terrible.
"You don't have to see it like that Your Majesty, your parents loved themselves very much, even before lady Douglacia came to the palace." Lora tried to explain.
"Is that why they wanted me to marry from the people on the other side of the boundaries, who are our family members as well?" Azura asked.
"No Your Majesty, that rule was set by The Great One, and that's why insert isn't forbidden." Lora explained.
"Let go and meet that woman tomorrow morning. No need to tell the King." Azura said with a serious face and Lora nodded her head in agreement.
__________ Abesselom's mansion.
The red eyed man, Abesselom, kept staring out of his window, looking at the magical boundary, lost in his thoughts. He tried searching for ways to tell Azura the truth about her life, but no better solution came in mind.
"Aren't you supposed to be worried about what she might find out?" Gideon asked Abesselom, basting his bubble of thoughts.
" I know am worried alright, no need to remind me, because that's not what am thinking about. Am just hoping that mage tells her only about her life here, because I don't know how she'll accept the truth." Abesselom said worriedly.
" I think I have an idea, just show yourself to her as the ma..... " Gideon tried reasoning with him.
" No way! Don't forget the masked man was the one who hurt her, and she was in comma because of that. what if she doesn't forgive me?" Abesselom countered.
" That wasn't intentional, and you have to find a way to explain to her." Gideon insisted and Abesselom kept his mouth closed.
Abesselom kept staring out of his window with lots of questions and thoughts running in his head. He stared at the boundaries as flashes of images from the incident that sent Azura into comma, flooded his mind.
.... Flashback...
Azura and Abesselom had arrived at the forbidden bridge, where they decided on having their next training. Abesselom took the lead to the forbidden bridge when Azura took her time to get off her horse. He asked her to come and she was ready to join him on the forbidden bridge when a man joined them riding a horse as well.
He rushed off the horse and sent Abesselom flying off the bridge with a dark force, before dragging Azura behind him. "Marcus, what are you doing?" Azura asked in fright. He kept sending dark force Abesselom's way, not minding Azura's questions.
Abesselom got on his feet and lifted himself above the ground, before sending balls of fire at Marcus. The fire attacked Marcus and his robes started burning, but Azura was fast to put the fire off with the ice aptitude in her. She didn't want any more fight, knowing Marcus didn't stand a chance with the man in a mask.
