Chapter 157

Aaliyah

The following morning, when I woke up from sleep, I lay on my back, staring at the ceiling. Tristan had left not too long ago.

I was hoping the war would stop with the challenge that Tristan and Vladimir were going to face soon. The wild Lycans had killed too many of Vladimir's army last night. Those who had the chance fled from the house. The bodies were piled up, and the Lycans had killed more than a hundred of Vladimir's soldiers. Among them were some of Tristan's warriors who had been unable to hide.

We couldn't find Tatiana's body, and I assumed she had fled. Why didn't she stay and use her magic, considering she was a powerful witch?

I rolled my eyes, curling my fingers into the sheet. Tristan was currently in the throne room speaking with some of the Elders and Council. He had gone there to inform everyone about the challenge that would take place between him and Vladimir.
