PYJAMA PARTY 1

Helena followed the sound and sees a figure crouched down on the grasses.

' Excuse me are you alright?' Helena says.

The person raises her head and Helena gasps.

' Kelly?? What's wrong?' Helena says worriedly.

' Helena you are here. Nothing don't mind me ' She says.

' Tell me what's wrong Kelly. Perhaps I can help' Helena says.

Kelly breaks down and sobs loudly. ' Where do I start? My father died two years ago in an accident, Mom had to borrow money from the Astrovanas to conduct his burial, pay my school fees, the rent and feeding expenses. Now mom has fallen sick and I need to work to cover her medical expenses, pay the Astrovanas and my tuition. My college break is over and school resumes next month. I am really confused.' Kelly says.

' How much is your mom's bill?' Helena ask.

' Two hundred thousand dollars ' Kelly replies.

' How much is your fees and how much do you owe the Astrovanas?' Helena ask.

' My total school expense is one hundred thousand dollars and we owe the Astrovanas Five hundred thousand. I don't even know how to start paying my debt.' Kelly says admits tears. ' Which year are you in college?' Helena ask. ' Third year' Kelly replies.

' You can't give up now. You are nearly finished.' Helena says. ' I don't want to but I don't have a choice. I still need money to perform mom's surgery.' Kelly replies

' I want to tell you a story. It's quite like yours only it's worse. There was a girl who lived with her divorced mother. Her father had abandoned them for a rich lady. Her mother was always busy with work and never really had time for her. This made the girl become rebellious in an attempt to get attention. She alongside her three friends were the terror of their school.

On her 15th birthday she and her friends made plans to celebrate her birthday by skipping school. She went home to prepare but when she got there, she met an ambulance and doctors at her house..' Helena pauses.

' Then what?' Kelly ask curiously.

' She found out that her mother had a heart disease and needed thirty million to perform a surgery or her mother could die.' Helena says.

' Thirty million???' Kelly says shocked.

' The girl called up her friends who were all from wealthy homes. They jointly loaned her a sum of money which equaled twenty million. For two years the three friends worked in all sorts of places till they raised the required sum of money. Now the girl's mother is fine, the girl learnt to appreciate her mother who placed paying her medical expenses over her daughter's education and feeding. Now the girl is all grown up and so are her friends who are like the closest family she has. You don't have to give up. There is always a way.' Helena says.

' Are you the girl from the story?' Kelly ask.

' Yes I am. And just like my friends helped me. I want to help you. On Monday evening, we will cash out the cheque. Do the needful and save your mom. Pay up the Astrovanas and your school fees. You can use the remaining to start up a small business for your mom when she recovers' Helena replies.

' You are giving me your prize money??' Kelly ask with shock. ' You need it more than me.' Helena replies. ' I can't accept it. That's such a huge amount.' Kelly says.

' You need it and don't worry in the future you can pay me back. Just imagine I am a bank that loaned you money ' Helena replies.

Kelly hugs Helena and says ' Thank you so much Helena. I will never forget this'

' It's okay you are like the little sister I never had' Helena replies. ' Let's get going. My friends will soon realise I snuck out' Helena says. The two are walking down the road when somebody points at Helena and says ' Look! It's Super Girl!'

Soon people gather and starts asking Helena for a picture. Helena is completely surrounded when a deep voice echoes through the night.

' Who dares to surround my Helena?'

Helena turns and sees her friends. She breathes in a sigh of relief. Jimmy goes through the crowd and lifts Helena on his shoulder. ' Jimmy!! Stop! Look at Kelly' Helena says. Jimmy glances at Orion who takes Kelly's hand and leads her out of the crowd.

Some people raise their phones and take pictures. ' Jimmy Jennova you have successfully ruined my reputation' Helena says.

Astrovana estate

' Have you guys seen Helena and her friends?' Leo asks.

Just then, The group appears. Kelly makes her way to the back of the house.

Helena who was still hoisted on Jimmy's shoulder says ' You can put me down now??'

Bianca giggles looking at Helena's pouted lips.

' What happened to you?' Bianca ask.

' Helena has become a celebrity. She was surrounded by people that wanted selfies and then Jimmy came and carried her back to this place' Beverley says.

' It's a good thing I already got a selfie else I would have to stand in line' Adam says.

Aiden sits quietly observing Helena's grumpy face.

' Jimmy where are my chocolates?? I can't find them!!' Helena says.

' It fell off when he lifted you' Orion replies.

' And you said nothing! You ugly creature!' Helena says as she chases Orion around the living room.

The others felt like laughing. Orion was ugly??

' What is so special about stupid chocolates??' Orion says. ' How dare you?? Wait till I get my hands on you' Helena replies. Jimmy holds Orion down.

' Dude! What are you doing? What happened to bro code? Misters before Sisters.' Orion says.

' You are tiring her out. just let her hit you' Jimmy says. ' Jimmy don't do this. Remember we were friends before Helena came into the picture. Beverley, my favourite. My secretary please help me.' Orion pleads.

' Sorry dude. Girl code. Sisters before Misters. Besides she is the youngest, Let her have her way' Beverley says.

Helena smirks as she approaches the struggling Orion. She pinches him firmly and knocks his head. Jimmy finally let go of Orion.

He hugs Helena and says' I'll order chocolates for you' Helena smiles.

' If you both are done with your public display of affection, go get ready for the pyjama party.' Leo says.

Everybody goes to their respective rooms to get ready.

' You lying scheming Author!' You said we would find out. How dare you lie to us' Leo says.

' I said you would find out at the pyjama party. Besides, We needed to rescue Kelly' Author replies.

' I am with Author on this. Rescuing Kelly was more important.' Orion says.

' Oh please. You already know what is going on that's why you are so casual about it. ' Leo replies.

' Hey! This is my pyjama party. Can't you guys behave responsibly like Aiden ' Bianca says.

' Don't you compare us with that stoned face brother of yours ' Leo retorts.

' Little sister. How could you be fooled by Aiden. He obviously has a hidden agenda.' Adam says.

' That is not true. Right Aiden?' Bianca says.

' It's true. I know the reason behind this pyjama party of yours' Aiden says.

' Big brother don't say anything ' Bianca pleads.

' Author! What are they talking about?' Leo says.

' Where is the Author?'

The crew look round and can't find the author.

Meanwhile, Author is walking as fast as she can.

' If I hurry, I can make it to China by morning. if not I will die here ' Author says to herself.
