GALA(4): HIS RESOLUTION

TWO DAYS LATER

It was the day before the Gala. The Astrovana siblings are having lunch.

' Bianca. Helena hasn't been eating with us for a while now. Is she alright??' Adam asks.

' Isn't it obvious?? She's trying to stay away from the two of you ' Bianca replies.

' Why??' Adam asks. ' Wasn't it you guys who wanted to avoid her as much as possible?? Weren't you tired of seeing her face?? Wasn't she a hired killer?? A money seeking person, A....' Bianca says but is cut in by Adam. ' We get it already. But is she still upset??' Adam asks.

' Of course she is. You both hurt her pride badly. You need to apologize. if I were her, I would have place fire ants in your duvet.' Bianca replies. ' Can't I have one meal without a discussion about Miss Homerna' Aiden asks.

Adam stands up and goes to Helena's room.

He breathes in and knocks on the door.

He hears Helena's voice saying come in. He enters. She was in a black hoodie and white shorts as it was a cold morning. ' You?? Can I help you??' She asks coldly. Adam felt nervous. He didn't know what to say. ' Actually I..I..I..I really don't know how to say this. ' Adam says.

Helena stands up and goes towards him. She sits him down on her bed and places her hand on his shoulder ' Mr Astrovana, is something wrong??' She asks worriedly. ' Helena, I am sorry. I know that we have not been the nicest to you. But you still tolerated our insolence. I'm really sorry. I'm just not used to the idea of someone staying with me that I am not familiar with. I just..':He says and keeps quiet when Helena raises his head to face her. ' Mr Astrovana, it's alright. it's in the past anyways forget it.' Helena says. ' Helena I just feel really guilty ' Adam says. ' It's alright!! I forgive you. shush now ' Helena says and hugs him.

Adam feels relaxed as he hugs her back and whispered a thank you. ' So you will join us for lunch ' Adam says. ' Mr Astrovana I...'

' Adam call me Adam. And I will take no excuses . let's go.' Adam says as he drags her out.

Bianca smiles as she sees sees Adam and Helena walk hand in hand down the stairs.

Aiden also sees this and says involuntarily tightened his grip on his fork. Adam pulls out a seat for Helena to sit.

Throughout lunch, Adam kept piling food on Helena's plate.

' Helena try the smoked fish.'

' Helena try the samosas'

' Helena have salad. It's good for the body. See how thin you are '

' Helena. You like icecream have this. Caramel is good for the skin'

Aiden got fed up and dropped his fork noisily on the table. ' Hey!! This is lunch for everyone not a date. If you want to behave this way, get a room'

Aiden says. ' Instead why don't you get a girlfriend. Instead of being cold faced and bitter mouthed. Helena replies.

' What is your problem with me getting a girlfriend?? Do you like me??' Aiden says.

' You wish. You are below my standard. Even a lunatic will reject you. Don't dream big.' Helena says.

' Calm down guys. let's have lunch peacefully ' Bianca says. Helena and Aiden ignore each other and finish their lunch.

A maid walks in, bow and says ' First young master, Master Wilson is here to see you '

' So unfair. My boyfriend is seeking my brother instead of me' Bianca says with a pout.

Jack walks in and sits in the middle of Helena and Bianca. ' Hello. I hope I am not interrupting ' Jack says. ' Of course not darling. You are always welcome ' Bianca says. ' Let's talk in the study' Aiden says to Jack.

Jack and Aiden leaves and the rest disperses.

Helena is going to her room when she hears voices. ' And for some reason, you want me to invest in this seemingly unprofitable business.

Jack Wilson , I am a businessman and I believe in profits not losses' Aiden says. ' Aiden , I can ..'

' That's enough ' Aiden cuts in.

Helena decides to take a walk outside the estate. She steps out and sees a man with a horrid looking face entering the house.

' Who are you?? What do you want??' Helena asks. ' I am Master Wilson's bodyguard ' The man replies. Just then, Jack bumps into Helena.

' Oh my. I'm sorry.' He says. ' It's okay ' Helena replies. ' I hope to see you tomorrow evening ' Jack says as he stretches forth his hand for a handshake. Helena shook his hand. He held onto her hand for a while before Helena releases herself from his grip. ' I will be on my way now ' Helena says and leaves. Helena reaches the gate before realising her phone was missing. She might had dropped it when Jack bumped into her. She turned back and heard Jack discussing with his bodyguard. ' He didn't agree. I will think of something later.' Jack says.

' Hurry. There's no time ' The bodyguard replies.

Helena crouched behind some cars as she watched them drive away. Strange. Who talked about work with their bodyguard??

Helena walked back to the house, She picked up her phone and put it in her pocket. She turned round and saw Aiden staring at her.

Aiden was coming down when he saw Helena pick up something and put into her pocket.

Helena hurriedly brush past him and entered her room.

Miss Homerna was definitely hiding something and he would find out the next day. He had constructed a beautiful plan.

He would figure out her hidden motive. That was his resolution.
