Reality

Run. That seemed to be the only thought that was capable of entering my increasingly worried mind to plain and simply run but I knew that no matter how fast I ran nor how well I fought I could never defeat or hope to escape these these things. Ghoulish things cannibals are while there are many ranks and types the most common of the devilish bunch were in fact the flesh reavers. "Adrian hide and pray that they don't find you I must fight but you may live" I remember hearing those words as my father left hurriedly to face those fiends I knew that he was going to die that we all were going to be eaten by those monstrosities.

He left and for the first time in my life I realized how powerless I was son of a peasant farmer and a shoddy seamstress and had no experience with a blade much less the skirmish of weapons and screams echoing through the small farm town on the outskirts of holy land. I knew that nothing could save them and quite honestly nothing could save me but something deep inside me was awoken at that moment and I felt the burning urge to become stronger.

But reality hits at the worst moments and right as this resolution consolidated in my heart the cannibals won. They rummaged through the town taking anything they found interesting and killed anything that moved they searched the small town house by house and by the time they got to me I was prepared for death. "*sniff sniff* Meat?" a raspy voice said with almost inhumane delight as it reached the room I was in.

From Above in a small perch used to store cloths in the closet I was hidden I could hear them rummage through the large room and flock around searching for anything that could lead to fresh meat and I clenched my teeth and steeled my gaze at the old wooden door blocking the outside world from me.

Right as they neared the door I heard a terrifying screech of a cannibal and the rest seemed to understand something and desperately ran away from the town. I could hear there screeches grow further and further away and yet still I stayed there too scared to move and come out yet desperately wishing to leave this retched place.

What felt like hours after I came to my senses and climbed down from my perch and grabbed a small backpack that could carry some basic supplies before walking downstairs tears streaming down my face as I gather the necessities.

I grabbed a large flagon of water my father used to carry, a small thieves blade used to pick locks my grandfather used to play with, a ration pack we used to use during the winter when we couldn't farm, and finally the saber I saved up three years worth of coin to get it cost me a pretty penny back then and I never truly used it since my family told me I was wasting away my coins on something ill never use.

"I guess I was right to get it" I said almost self mockingly. I had yet to leave the hut I was simply to fearful to look through the busted door to see my family either dead or taken by those those things but eventually I realized I can't stay here and left the house to see a view of pure terror.

Bodies of my Father and family strewn across the ground blood still flowing from their wounds I could see my uncle convulsing on the ground next to a dead cannibal it looked as if the damned beast tore at his neck until it ripped apart his convulsing seemed to be a dead bodies response because I couldn't believe any being could survive after the damage that had been done his cotton clothes were barely covering his body sliced in so many areas he looked as if he had been cut open his left arm entirely cut off and somewhere in the carnage. I could see bite marks on his right arm and chest there where already flies covering his copse along with the rest of my family.

I could feel the tears streaking down my face I could clearly remember the sound of their screams echoing into oblivion I saw red and I screamed just pure unintelligible screaming came from me. After I had done that I realized something they couldn't be too far away and there's a very high chance there are more cannibals nearby which means I need to run and run now.

The moment I recognized my blunder I ran for the nearest city. Evermore or as I preferred to call it the city of crows.

My grammar is gonna be garbage guys im sorry but its just gonna be like that i'll fix what I notice and I won't stress to much about it but let me know if its unreadable and give me the correct grammar to fix it.
