5 Preparations

That was a messed up position to be in man, you saved our ass there James, I can never pay you back but again thank you. . You are welcome but it will be better if we all go home now, it's already late and the police will be everywhere arresting everybody they see in the streets so I advise everyone who can to go home and close their doors. We don't know if any of the guys loyal to Donjons survived the shootout but let's assume they did, so keep your guns cocked for this is the first place they would check. Good luck.

I step out of the house and continued to walk down the streets with both hands in my pockets, I've never represented anyone before in a circle trial, it was one of my duties as the last man but again I have to keep things on the low ever since I was initiated to the organization. Most of the people in the gang do not know anything about the organization and the ones that do do not know how to get in. I was introduced to the organization by my roommate but two weeks after he got killed in a mission. Not that I feel pity but it really affected me and I came to learn a lot of things on my own, I make sure to never let the camera catch my face. I needed help in this mission if I am to come out alive. The street is completely dry and there was no electricity, we've gotten used to the blackout especially on times like this, it helps us see the police coming with their van, I arrived at my apartment after an hour of walking in the shadows, I took my bath and went straight to sleep.

Another bloody day in this shit hole as the noise coming from the next apartment was getting closer and it sounds like the police has decided to raid the entire neighbourhood. Raiding, fuck as I rushed up from my bed, I quickly arranged my room and hide my gun inside the middle of my bed, I covered it with the bedsheet and all I can do now is wait for the police. If the police are raiding the entire area it logically means they have no idea what they are doing. They just want someone to blame and fill their pockets with money they will generate from the bailout of each person arrested. Raiding similar to this one happened a year ago, they do this every year and sometimes twice a year. Ten people got killed in the last one and in turn, they started killing the police as well, the killing lasted for one month and at the end, thirty people died and twenty-two policemen died. The street does not take the death of their own likely, they do something about it if the reasons are "just'" for some. Death will always bring more death in these parts for my next-door neighbour was just shut. That guy is a drug dealer and he also sells guns on few occasions and I believe that's the reason they shut him. All I could do now is listen to the screams of my next-door neighbour and hope my case would be different. If I panic and run, they will not hesitate to shoot me for their reason will be I am a suspect. If I also decided to go and check on my neighbour they could also shot me and they will say I came to rescue my gang or cult members. If I am cut making a call they will assume am calling for backup and they could also shoot me. That's just the way life is here, the police are corrupted to the core and also brutal while the street is full of bloodthirsty murderers.

Most of the time the police turn a blind eye to the things happening in the street as long as they get their slice of the bread but in some cases like this, the police are likely to get a lot of money without breaking any agreement they made with the gang leaders. The police are all con men and everyone knows you can't trust the words of an officer, if it suits them they can turn black to white.

With just two hits on my door, it opened and they saw me sitting in a chair waiting for them. who are you? My name is James sir. How long have you been living here? Two years sir. So you know the person that lived in this apartment before you right? No sir. You don't also know your next-door neighbour, right? I do but only as a neighbour sir. Do you know his occupation? Check this apartment I already believe this guy is a criminal despite his look. Now listen Mr.man, have you notice anything suspicious with your neighbour or you still don't know. If I do not say anything then he will arrest me for withholding information from the authorities so I have to give him something. Lately, he has been bringing a lot of women home and he parties a lot, that's the only thing I noticed. I could see the irritation in the officers face, he's looking for every possible way to justify why he wants to arrest me but I know this game of words too well to be a victim but some officers don't even like to talk they just arrest who they don't like and officers like that don't last in this region so most policemen are very cautious because most of the time they don't know who they are dealing with. What do you do for a living? I am at present jobless while also trying to be a good citizen of this great nation and I know I can trust the police in any problems so please ask me anything. The police officer is already getting tired of me from the look on his face. Where were you last night? A jobless man like myself is always home sir. They left my apartment scattered with clothes, books everywhere, I know they will be watching me closely but I have no choice but to proceed with my mission preparations for I only have two more days.

I arranged my space and went straight to check on Tage and the rest of the guys, not that I was worried but because I was the one that needed their help this time. I arrived in no time and they were all there. I greeted all of them and went straight to the point, as straight as I can be without telling them everything. Luckily Tage was aware of the organization but he never expected that I would be executing a level two job. I need the help of all of you and it would not be for free, In two days I want you to come with me to a party not as guests but as my bodyguards. The venue is golden Tulip hotel, not all of you will be accepted to get inside so the rest will be staying outside like the other guards. I want some of you to be already in the hotel before the day for security will be high on the day of the occasion. An elevator is in the hall where the event is to take place so getting in after the party must have started would not be that hard. As for the guys who are already in the building, they are the ones who are going to disable the cameras and that can only be done from the control room and guards will also be stationed there. I am to give you a call when to take those guys out and shut down the security cameras. please ask questions if you don't understand. None did and everything was set. Tage, you and two other guys will be the ones to go, please do not use your real names when lodging in case something goes wrong. The rest of you are coming with me and please put on good suits. That will be all for now, after some time with the guys I went home for I was thinking a lot of things that could go wrong in this plan and hoped things work out fine.
