UNEXPECTED GUESTS

My cheeks heated up and i felt the blood rush towards my face.

"So it's true, you have started liking Jake", told Charlie very casually as if his previous statement was not strong enough to make me blush, he added the cherry on top of it.

No I never said that. Who told you? That's absolutely false. I started clarifying myself as if my lie had been caught.

"Your blush said that to me. If what I said is not true then why are you blushing", added Charlie.

I wish the ground opened up and swallowed me. I was too embarrassed to speak.

After a break of 30 seconds Charlie began again.

"Now why are you blushing Jake", said Charlie shifting his focus to Jake.

Jake kept a straight face.

"So the fire has been ignited on both the side", He added looking simultaneously at me and Jake.

Among all of us I could see that Ryan was having the best time. She was too busy in laughing at our expense.

I swear if killing was legal, I would have killed Charlie first and then Ryan.

By God's grace our conversation was halted by the ringing of Jake's phone.

Jake immediately picked up the call and after about 2 minutes, he hung up.

"Guys Cole, Kate and Krisann will be here within 30 mins. They actually reached home to surprise us". Jake informed us.

I had never had an opportunity to speak to them without being terrified of them.

Out of the five friends, I was comfortable only with Jake and Charlie but I couldn't say the same about the rest of them.

Me and Ryan looked at each other not sure if Jake's friends would be fine with our presence.

But neither of us spoke a word about our hesitancy.

We waited patiently until about some minutes when we heard someone shouting.

"Surprise Surprise"

It was Krisann.

"What are you guys doing here?", asked Charlie.

"What do you mean by that? Can't we come over here", said Kate making faces.

Cole suddenly seemed to have noticed me and Ryan. He came closer to us and gave both of us an eandering hug as if we were longtime buddies.

"Hi Bella and Ryan", Cole greeted us followed by Kate and Krisann.

Both of us replied them with a shocked expression over our faces.

By their reputation I had never imagined them greeting someone so politely.

But I guess I shouldn't judge them since Jake and Charlie had also turned out to be quite different from the image they had build for themselves in the college.

"Now since we are here let go to party", suggested Krisann.

"Or we could just sit here under the sky full of stars", suggested Charlie.

"That's a good idea", nodded both Kate and Krisann.
